October 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Sharon Leal, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Source: Sharon Leal passport is in front of me right now. Her 1972 age is a lie. Someone mis-typed it on her imdb and now all over the internet has her wrong birthdate. If you would like a copy of her passport to verify, we can send. Thank youPaul Becker(choreographer).

Wikipedia relies on verifiable information from reliable published sources. 1972 is verfiable in a reliable published source (not IMDb). Additionally, your claim disputes "...he married Leal's mother in 1972 and legally adopted Leal." Before rewriting her entire biography to fit your claim, please discuss it on the article's talk page. Thanks. - SummerPhD (talk) 00:09, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is this how I discuss the age of Sharon Leal?? IMDB is incorrect also. Would you like her passport? We can provide it. She is sitting here beside me as I type this. We just want Sharon to have the correct age!!!! Please stop changing it back or let us know how to make this perminent.

This discussion should take place at Talk:Sharon Leal. Before continuing there, please review my last comment. Also note that the article now has two reliable sources giving 1972. Thank you. - SummerPhD (talk) 12:01, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced content, as you did to Sharon Leal. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. SummerPhD (talk) 23:54, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Sharon Leal, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Do not continue to revert to your preferred version without citing reliable sources for the content. Discuss this on the article's talk page first. Thank you. SummerPhD (talk) 00:17, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am not trying to vandalize!!!!! I put legit sources as you guys had the wrong info. Can I mail you a copy of Sharon Leal's passport??? Or drivers license?? She is my girlfriend. I just want her correct age online as does she. Please suggest what we should do as all of the online content with her age is incorrect. Thank you....Paul and Sharon
As repeatedly mentioned, please take this to the article's talk page. - SummerPhD (talk) 00:52, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Paul Becker[edit]

Your additions to Paul Becker seem unencyclopedic in tone (the article should refer to "Becker" not "Paul" and reads more like a blog than an encyclopedia article) and are at first glance completely unsourced. I will leave this a while in case you wish to rewrite for style and add reliable sources. --Mirokado (talk) 17:24, 29 October 2011 (UTC) (tweaked at time of next post)[reply]

I have now reverted those changes. From your user name you appear to "have a strong connection with" the subject. Please read conflict of interest before making any further changes to this article. Changing an article in which you have an interest is not forbidden, but you must be very careful indeed to ensure that everything you add is supported by reliable, independent sources. You have been in any case been asked before to provide reliable sources for the content you add. Please take these requests seriously. The requirement for reliable sources for material added to Wikipedia is not negotiable. --Mirokado (talk) 23:14, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I AM PAUL BECKER....Go to my website www.beckercreations.com (The official Paul Becker site) and on IMDB so see every verified credit and to see the EXACT same BIO! There is your source.
Having a source and mentioning it here (whether you or IMDb) is not the issue. You must cite a verifiable source for the material. You are not a verifiable source: Another editor/reader looking at the article cannot see where the information came from and check it against that source. IMDb is not a reliable source for biographical information as their fact-checking leaves something to be desired.
Copying text directly, as you have done, is a copyright violation. Use information from sources, not the wording.
Please familiarize yourself with out conflict of interest policy, as it clearly applies to your edits. Thanks. - SummerPhD (talk) 14:52, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
