July 2021[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Cars (song) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Cars (song) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSoKp6dRUH0) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. music or video) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Replaceable fair use File:Blippi - Regular clothing & in character.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Blippi - Regular clothing & in character.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 21:04, 12 July 2021 (UTC) i did not violate the fair use rule but thank you.[reply]

Removal of video[edit]

Hi SomeWhatLife, welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed you removed my video from both the Amazon Alexa and Amazon Echo articles as they were "unnecessary". I added them as I think having a video demonstration of Alexa is beneficial to the article and those wanting to understand how Alexa operates. If you agree with my rationale but would like to make a higher quality video, feel free to do so. You might also want to read WP:NOTYOUTUBE. ✨ Ed talk! ✨ 21:40, 20 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:KathSoucie1.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press, Getty Images), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please add the appropriate fair use tag and rationale.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Album cover[edit]

Thank you for uploading the English artwork for Les Chants Magnetiques/Magnetic Fields, but please note that as the artwork is identical to the French version, with only the title changed, this won't pass point 3a of WP:NFCCP... the artwork needs to be substantially different, enough so that someone from one country wouldn't recognise the album by the artwork from another country, which clearly isn't the case here. I'm going to nominate the artwork for deletion. Richard3120 (talk) 01:54, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In fact, I've been beaten to it... you see that it's an issue with several of your file uploads. Richard3120 (talk) 13:03, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Double Dare 2000 logo.png[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Double Dare 2000 logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 02:06, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free images of living people[edit]

You have uploaded some non-free images of a living person. Almost all such images are not compliant with Wikipedia's guidelines for non-free content. In particular, it contravenes policy point 1 which covers replaceability. From the guidelines, "Non-free content should not be used when a freely licensed file that serves the same purpose can reasonably be expected to be uploaded, as is the case for almost all portraits of living people." Please don't upload any more non-free images of living people. They will just be deleted. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 19:53, 29 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You Tube[edit]

You Tube is NOT a reliable source. Just because someone has uploaded a video with a different channel marker it does not mean we change the article. It needs to be written about in reliable sources. We'd rather be accurate than first. Secretlondon (talk) 19:31, 12 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Secretlondon, i'd like to correct you on some things, first of all, at that time, the buzzer was hacked for hours, so i believed that it was the new tone of the station, but the buzzing was back a day later, also, here are some corrections, it was actually a livestream, not a video. and there is no need to say YouTube in a separate-word form. Notice

The file File:Keepgrowingstrong.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Insufficiently supported by critical commentary, which may be already understood without this image. May fail WP:NFCC#8.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 3 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
