Character Age[edit]

Hi Trevor: The info panel about the character of Jack Tripper has his age at 34 years old. If we could step into the fictional realm here: If I assume correctly that Jack Tripper (Not John Ritter) was age 34 (in 1977) when he moved in with Janet and Chrissy which would put his date of birth at year 1943, yet the panel has his date of birth in 1951. I would welcome your thoughts on this matter. Thanks in advance. --SaturdayNightSpecial (talk) 22:03, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey[edit]

I noticed that you add multiple {{citation needed}} on pages that do not have sources. [1] An easier alternative is to tag the article with {{unref}}. Have fun editing! =) Jumping cheese Cont@ct 08:08, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: 72.10.126.178[edit]

As far as I'm aware, IPs from schools are treated comparably, at least on the subject of vandalism warnings. You see, I'm not a sysop and to change common procedures one would have to convince the community somehow. I've never seen a school IP being blocked just for being a school IP, though some clearly should be. The main difference in treatment seems to be that they usually get a tag like Template:SharedIPEDU (see for example User talk:192.147.173.49). I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help. Jagwire[edit]

The article Jagwire has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 11:33, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, it had been changed to an article about a nonnotable rock band named "Jagwire". I will recreate the redirect if you want -- but it has no incoming links and seems like an unlikely redirect to a program that is actually called "Jaguar". Let me know, though. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Fair use rationale for Image:Chrissysnow.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Chrissysnow.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 14:33, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Jacktripper.jpg[edit]

I have tagged Image:Jacktripper.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Non-free. Thank you. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:PriscillaBarnes.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:PriscillaBarnes.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 16:09, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Obama's mole[edit]

What was your rationale behind photoshopping Obama's mole out of the original image? [2] --Cioxx (talk) 02:13, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Three's Company episodes, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Three's Company episodes has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Three's Company episodes, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Melanie Safka[edit]

I have reverted your edits. If someone wants to create an article they can, otherwise it's only adding "red ink" to article that doesn't have any. Also it is very subjective that even belongs there at all; why not add Beautiful People and a few others as well?--Wlmg (talk) 21:05, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Red Ink is bad[edit]

The two notable songs in the Melanie article share the same WP:RS other than sales' stats. Lots of other songs mentioned there with the conspicuous absence of "What Have They Done To My Song Ma?". So what exactly is its reason for inclusion in the lead? A google search turns up a whole lot of nothing. No ma. The ink goes. And what's up with the citation needed tag?--Wlmg (talk) 22:35, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not much here either :-( following the formula of notability used in wikipedia articles for deletion.--Wlmg (talk) 23:30, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Three's Company images[edit]

I have tagged all your images for speedy deletion because they do not follow WP:Image use policy. Under policy, .jpg is the only allowed format for screenshots, publicity photographs, and other non-free photos. Any objections, reply here. --George Ho (talk) 21:37, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

George is currently being mentored by myself and half a dozen others. Don't worry, we'll explain. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 22:10, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Per User talk:George Ho/Mentorship discussions, File:Lana Shields 1979.png has been removed for lacking a fair use rationale for this article. First read WP:Non-free content, WP:BLP, and WP:Image use policy before this image will be added again. --George Ho (talk) 23:34, 23 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Chrissy Snow 1982.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Chrissy Snow 1982.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hammersoft (talk) 15:51, 2 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
