Yana Aleksandrovna Troyanova (Russian: Яна Александровна Троянова; born 12 February 1973) is a Russian theater and film actress, director. Her film credits include Zhit, Volchok and Kokoko. She directed the short film Ryadom.[1]

Biography[edit]

Yana Mokritskaya was born in posyolok Lechebnyy [ru] Sverdlovsk Oblast. Before studying at the Ekaterinburg Theatre Institute [ru] in the Anisimova studio,[2] she studied at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Ural State University.[3] In her second year at the theatку institute, she went to work at the Small Drama Theater "Teatron" [ru]. In 2005-2006 Troyanova worked at the Kolyada Theater [ru].[4]

In 2009, Kinotavr won the prize for Best Actress in the film Sigareva Volchok. In addition, it was nominated for the award "White Elephant" and Asia Pacific Screen Awards.

Troyanova made her directorial debut in 2014. At the film festival "Kinotavr" Short participated in the competition of her film Ryadom.

Personal life[edit]

Troyanova was married twice. Her son from the first marriage died in 2011.[5][6]

From 2003 to 2020, she was married to the playwright and film director Vasily Sigarev.[7][8]
