Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (Linus Wiklund is a very well known songwriter and music producer who has written and produced songs for some of the biggest musical artists in the world. Whats most important is his discography where readers can find songwriting information about some of the most known songs today.) --Sorrydriver93 (talk) 14:29, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No, what's important are the specific criteria outlined in WP:MUSIC. You are very welcome to indicate how the article as it currently sits meets the criteria outlined in WP:MUSIC. --Yamla (talk) 16:21, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The content of this article meet more then one of the criterias for a "composers and lyricists":

1: Has credit for writing or co-writing either lyrics or music for a notable composition.[1] 2: Has written musical theatre of some sort (includes musicals, operas, etc.) that was performed in a notable theatre that had a reasonable run as such things are judged in their particular situation and time.[2] 3: Has written a composition that has won (or in some cases been given a second or other place) in a major music competition not established expressly for newcomers.[3] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sorrydriver93 (talkcontribs) 12:08, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No, you are arguing based on information not contained in the article. The deletion request was about the article, not about the subject of the article. Regardless, it's irrelevant now, except you'll want to edit the article to include those claims, in case it's nominated again. --Yamla (talk) 13:05, 18 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
