Merger proposal[edit]

Articles in question:

I have proposed a merger of this season's stage articles. The ideal is to have the entire league season's information in one article, not three. The results table could and should be found in this article, as well as the top-scorers. It's pretty unreasonable to have an Apertura/Clausura league in two articles when two winners are declared... it's even more unreasonable to have a simple multi-stage league in two articles, especially when all the information can be readily available on one page. When these articles are merged, their size will exceed 30 KB. It is better that articles are under 30 KB. They are two separate tournaments and more information can be available about each tournament in each article, such as a larger scorers section. If you expand this article it will be very large.
It is not unheard of to have articles on league seasons to be over 30 kb (35kb is small compared to other leagues). The tournaments themselves in this league have no merit to exist alone since they do not crown a champion (even then, it is still preferred to have one article per league season). Each tournament crowns a champion.--MicroX 18:37, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No. Each tournament has a winner (or best-placed team), who is then eligible to become the league champion. There is a difference. Digirami (talk) 23:37, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
