Requested move[edit]

The article should be moved because the proper name is "Field House". [1] Kgwo1972 18:36, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Really? The k-state web page pointed to by the article shows the name as "Ahearn Field House". CaughtLBW 17:27, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Other disparities with the k-state web page[edit]

I note that the web page says "Ahearn Field House was erected in 1951....". It cannot therefore have been opened in 1950 as stated in the article (though it might have been "dedicated" in 1950).

I also note that the web page refers to "Nichols Hall" not "Nichols Gymnasium".

The infobox also suggests that "The Old Barn" is a nickname. Perhaps this should be mentioned in the article?

I don't have any references on it, but as a former student I can say that "Nichols Gymnasium" was what we called the building before it was gutted by fire because it was... well... a gym! After the fire, the building was retrofitted for classroom use and became "Nichols Hall" -- fair enough?--Paul McDonald (talk) 16:21, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The page for Nichols Hall makes no mention of it ever being called "Nichols Gymnasium", so I guess that was a colloquial usage. In any case, I've done the obvious, which is to link to the Nichols Hall page. CaughtLBW (talk) 01:16, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
