Image

Even assuming that there is no copyright problem with this picture, it's much too big for the space. RickK 05:05, 9 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Could I please request that someone puts a new picture of Anna at the top of the page? A True Blood picture would be more up to date, if you can find one we're allowed to use. Thanks. Dicka 8 September 2008

Nationality

What is her nationality? I added it as Canadian, being that she was born there, but maybe she has dual New Zealand-Canadian citizenship. Anyone know for sure? Starcross 19:50, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

Yes, she acquired New Zealand citizenship in 2001, and considers herself a New Zealander. Her mother is a native New Zealander.

Makes the intro that reads "She is also the first Canadian-born actress to win Best Supporting Actress" seem a bit weird then. Is that all you canucks can claim? She's a New Zealander. Stay away! 202.78.240.7 (talk) 01:01, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Canadian?

Why does it say she's a Canadian actress?? when she was brought up in New Zealand? Shouldn't it be saying Canadian-New Zealand actress or vice versa? 218.101.75.108 09:29, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

I'd guess the only way to tell would be find out what it says on her passport etc. There are plenty of actors who it's assumed are from a certain country due to accent, upbringing etc but officially they belong to another. --Achmelvic 12:13, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
Paquin acquired New Zealand citizenship in 2001, and has stated that she considers herself a New Zealander.
She should have her canadian citizenship recognized too. This reminds me of pamela andersons wikipedia entrys.
Does she currently hold Canadian citizenship? Jim Michael (talk) 02:09, 3 April 2010 (UTC)

YouTube links

This article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed or you would like to help spread this message contact us on this page. Thanks, ---J.S (t|c) 05:43, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Link was of an Oscar speech, obviously recorded from the TV, therefore I removed it. —B33R(talkcontribs) 06:16, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
Good call. ---J.S (t|c) 08:19, 8 November 2006 (UTC)

Misc

I think, it would be very interesting to know how can it be that information about actresses from movie Piano is so mixed. Who is who? Who is Anna Paquin? Who is her sister? And how Holly Hunter became known as actress of this film and there are videos in youtube that she even get an Oscar. —Preceding unsigned comment added by House creator (talkcontribs) June 2008

It's been announced that Anna Paquin will make a cameo appearance in Scream 4, via MovieWeb.com.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.28.216.106 (talk) 19:01, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

External links

Could I please ask Skywalker to stop editing the external links. The link to Anna Paquin Online is relevant because it is an acclaimed fansite. It does not violate copyright, as the site ackknowledges copyright and it is all, as far as it is presented, perfectly legal. Also, the link to the AV club interview is official, and aknowledged by Anna herself. There are loads of other articles which have legal links to such sites. Please stop deleting them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.72.35.70 (talk) 12:48, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Gossip

"Neither Paquin nor Culkin have publically confirmed that they are together, but they have been spotted making romantic gestures towards each other whilst out and about in New York during the last couple of years." This is an encyclopedia, not a gossip magazine. Please revise this sentence. Schizophonix (talk) 09:02, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Done. It's hard not to sound opinonated on Wikipedia, but you have to try to tell it like it is as much as possible. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.72.35.119 (talk) 09:11, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Talkheader

I noticed this was just removed from the top. Isn't it generally pretty standard? Just curious.--Stetsonharry (talk) 02:22, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Comments

I think that the person who has edited this page constantly over the past few weeks has done an impressive job of it. I have added the extra nominations credits that they started on this morning. I too also thought the article was a bit vague, but it's obviously a hardcore fan who has improved on it greatly. Credit to them. Dicka 1 July 2008

The header "Theatrical Career" is wrong. It should say "Stage Career" or "Theater Career." "Theatrical" is incorrect. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.78.163.55 (talk) 20:36, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Rogue

Can someone please edit out the D'Ancanto part of Rogue's name since she has never had it in the films? It's only ever been a fan belief that happened and the end credits have never given her a last name, nor has one ever been mentioned in the film itself. Thank you.68.49.68.231 (talk) 18:00, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Done. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 22:00, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, the same goes for X2 and X3 as well, just Marie in all those. Thanks again. 68.49.68.231 (talk) 02:04, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

You know, I really think we ought to get out more. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Onthewiki (talkcontribs) 10:02, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
