Cover 13 Super Series in a year[edit]

I'm not sure how to cover them, but I had thought to do all the Super Series like the 2007 Malaysia Super Series. It's very hard to cover all the singles and doubles draws. My idea was to cover the full men's singles draw, and the other ones only with the Template:8TeamBracket-Tennis3, that's only quarterfinals, semifinals, and final. What do you think about it?

Oh, and my enlgish is not quite good, so if you read mistakes in some articles I have written, please don't hesitate to correct them MontanNito 21:34, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, but lets also do the women's singles with the full schedule. SportsAddicted | discuss 22:43, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think that is little mistake in creating and coverage all the super series. But i'm give the full support to covering all. Never mind, covering half is more than none. I think that is one of way to attract someone come to help us.

OK, some correction, please use the easy way, MontanNito to arrange the seeds, e.g:

  1. Indonesia Taufik Hidayat, result

I'm not oppose, BUT using the easy way can perform faster. Thank you --Aleenf1 02:34, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Or like 2007 ATP Tour for instance. SportsAddicted | discuss 05:43, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Good way, SportsAddicted, but how about MontanNito? All cover in one page with five categories seperation. --Aleenf1 09:15, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, I don't understand why is little mistake in creating and coverage all the super series. The seeds, I think it's more beautiful with those table, but if you think it's more important to be able to perform it faster, no problem for me.

And about the SportsAddicted comment, I think it's better to create an article for each tournament, in order to add more information about each one. But we can add also the same table, in this article. The main problem could be that in 2007 ATP Tour there's only men's singles, and here there are five events. MontanNito 09:18, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, i mean is a mistake to covering some part for some categories, but is OK to make a work done. If five cotegories, it can create five table. But if MontanNito, you oppose, and want to cover each tournament in each page, i can abort about it, is no problem for me, do whatever you want. Cheers! --Aleenf1 09:44, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Then, I'll try to cover all of them as I have said. However, I think a table in this article with the main results is also a good idea. Perhaps quarterfinals, semifinals an finals for the five events is too much, but a table with the winners of each Super Serie tournaments, or winners and finalists, or even winners, finalists and semifinalists could be great. If somebody wanted to see details, he could go the the main article of the tournament.MontanNito 10:32, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Template:2007 Badminton Super Series[edit]

What do you think about creating a new template with the 2007 Super Series. I think it could be quite usefull. I can create it, but first of all i'd like to know your opinion. MontanNito 22:36, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First, in my mind, I'm thinking to create the 2007 BWF Super Series. With few sections:

  • Calendar
  • Summaries of winners
  • Timeline for leader of Super Series ranking
  • Super Series Ranking
  • Titles by countries

If MontanNito agree with above, than can proceed. But MontanNito can add anything, press mention.

For template, i think the new things:

2007 BWF Super Series

Previous Super Series:
2007 Malaysia Super Series

Next Super Series:
2007 All England Super Series

So we no need to create for every season, this can use for long time

OK? --Aleenf1 04:26, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Or either create normal one or my example. --Aleenf1 06:42, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok! That's a great idea! ;-) I think it should be better if you created the 2007 BWF Super Series article, because my english is not very good. And the template I like a lot too, but i don't know how to do it, i'm sorry MontanNito 12:14, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ahh, i'm not sure which you want in template, either create seasonally or my example shown in right? --Aleenf1 16:35, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I like the template shown in right. I think it's better than creating a template for every seaseon. MontanNito 20:03, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've created the Template:Badminton Super Series. MontanNito 17:19, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, i am busy, thanks. Actually i'm prefer the template to put in bottom of the page. Is look more suitable. Anyway, need your opinion first.
Previous Super Series:
2007 Malaysia Super Series
2007 BWF Super Series Next Super Series:
2007 All England Super Series

you can copy this and paste it. Sorry, my mind is error. --Aleenf1 07:13, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Prize money[edit]

Prize money distribution percentage are listed here. So i think that is unneeded in every SS tournament. Thank you. --Aleenf1 12:20, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well... in this article there is the percentatge, and in the Super Series tournaments there is the amount for each round and category. MontanNito 13:14, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Percentage also divide into each round and category. I don't think it needed. Actually, you should realise all 200,000 total prize money will distribute into same amount for each players and no need to repeat each to each articles. Exactly what you mean, but the formula already there. So, if people want to know, they can calculate it, is not really hard to calculate it. --Aleenf1 05:18, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There are some Super Series with a higher prize money, and despite the fact that it is not hard to calculate it, I think it's better if it appears in the article because it is more information of the tournament. Anyway, if you think that is irrelevant, yo can delete this section. I'm not going to argue for this. Cheers MontanNito 11:57, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, it is relevant. But i feel it is not necessary to repeat and repeat again in each articles. I think it is no need to be added further. All we do is type the result and seeding information. This can be abort. I'm also not want to argue. But looking the same information repeating several times, it is not good. I hope MontanNito can understand. :) --Aleenf1 17:05, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:BWFSuperSeries.jpg[edit]

Image:BWFSuperSeries.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Please be careful while editing the page[edit]

I know that it’s convenient to use a Word Processor to do “Find and Replace” but please be careful while you are doing that as you may make unintended changes. Wikipedia article should only have contents which have reliable sources and verifiable. Even if you personally know the truth, without citing a reliable sources, you cannot put the information in Wikipedia article. Please refer to Wikipedia:Core content policies for more information. For example, if you believe that BWF Super Series’s name is originally Super Series, please cite a source to support your argument. Thank you. Thljcl (talk) 11:57, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You should discuss it, not call others to cite sources for you. Please do check the calendar in BWF website. Super Series is a pure spelling. You are also in WP;Overlink issues. --Aleenf1 11:21, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Super Series[edit]

I started this section because I wanted to change the title of the article to match the BWF nomenclature: i.e. to BWF World Superseries but now it seems this is controversial and I seem to have missed the Wikipedia:BOLD,_revert,_discuss_cycle so I will withdraw that proposal. My attempt to move the page for the BWF World Superseries Finals to remove the word 'Masters', which hasn't been in the event's name since the 2009 edition has been undone by Aleenf1 but that discussion should be confined to Talk:BWF_Super_Series_Masters_Finals.

I do not agree that my attempt to change the logo caption is an unnecessary or controversial edit. The expression 'Premier Series' is not used anywhere but in Wikipedia, it seems. The BWF calls it Superseries Premier[1] and certain news outlets switch the names around and say 'Premier Super Series' or 'Premier Superseries' but 'Premier Series' is simply an error. 1. ^ BWF. "REGULATIONS FOR SUPERSERIES".

BWF Super SeriesBWF Superseries – Updated tournament name by Badminton World Federation
Note: The name was changed first at the beginning of 2011 season for sponsorship reason, OSIM and now MetLife.[1] Aleenf1 04:19, 6 September 2015 (UTC) --Relisted. Natg 19 (talk) 17:49, 14 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose – As i comment before, Super Series is a two English words, it doesn't make sense to move to one word in Wikipedia just to compatible the title designated by BWF itself, and doesn't make the tournament unrecognisable. The former name still consistent as long as it still a "Super Series". --Aleenf1 04:19, 6 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
