Politics of Bhagwant Mann

The section on [[1]] politics of Bhagwant Mann sounds a bit biased. He has been banned from entering the parliament. [1] and has been accused of filming the security gates of the parliament.

Info about joining the party

@Aanvinder You are adding unsourced information. You are adding information in wrong sections. His joining of the party is already discussed in career section. no need to add again in the MP First term section. Please read WP:DR Venkat TL (talk) 16:57, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
That added information is not in correct order. It is not fair to change my edit like that. I am not adding anything extra. I am just properly sorting the information at right place. Read about his political section, it didnt even make sense. Half of the middle part information is above side and some information is in bottom side. Aanvinder I disagree. He joined the party first, then ran for election. then became MP. You are adding info about him joining the party in the MP section. Why do you want this? Wikipedia:Red link says Red links for subjects that should have articles but do not, are not only acceptable, but needed in the articles. They serve as a clear indication of which articles are in need of creation, and encourage it. I do not know how complete IMDB is. I do not know whether he should have a biography or not. Mann has been accused on multiple occasions of being drunk while attending important meetings and ceremonies.[1] In 2015, AAP leader Yogendra Yadav alleged that Mann attended Parliament sessions while being drunk.[2] Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh repeated the same allegation as he flagged Mann's "addiction". In July 2016, AAP MP Harinder Singh Khalsa wrote to the Speaker, requesting her that his seat in the Lok Sabha be changed as Mann, who sits next to him 'stinks of alcohol'.[3] In August 2016, three MPs wrote to a nine-member committee to look into Mann's conduct and to allow him to attend house proceedings only after he had been sent to a "rehab/deaddiction centre". Mann however has denied these allegations.[4][5] In 2019, during a party rally at Barnala, Mann announced that he had denounced alcohol and swore never to touch it again, after opposition parties criticized him over the issue.[6][7]

SonicSleep, I have disputed this, you cannot add this without WP:CONSENSUS Make your case on the talk page. On why we need to add those allegations by political rivals. Please read WP:CSECTION. Venkat TL (talk) 10:12, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

WP:CSECTION says Sections within an article dedicated to negative criticisms are normally also discouraged. Topical or thematic sections are frequently superior to sections devoted to criticism.... For example, if a politician received significant criticism about their public image, create a section entitled "Public image" or "Public profile", and include all related information – positive and negative – within that section. This does not justify censoring the information, but it shows that a section titled Controversies with a subsection Alcohol abuse should be deleted.
Looking at the material in the disputed section, it is clear that all the material relates to his political career. Whether he drank or not did not seem to be a problem before he got elected. So one solution would be to put a slightly modified version of the paragraph in the Political career section.-- Toddy1 (talk) 15:44, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
@Toddy1 lets see what SonicSleep has to say. The career section of the article as it stand already has the relevant content. Quote His political rivals had in past criticized him over alcohol use. Mann has denied these allegations. In 2019, during a party rally at Barnala, Mann announced that he had denounced alcohol and swore never to touch it again. So clearly this is not a question of Censoring, but WP:UNDUE weight. I have read all the refs above, all of them are claims and accusations. The politicians in India, keep making all sorts of accusations to malign others and none of those are added to their Wikipedia page. I am curious why SonicSleep things they need to be added. Nothing about his hospitalisation?

It is legitimate that someone should ask whether the article should mention this incident and the subsequent hospitalisation. It is covered by reliable sources in both India and the U.K.
Reliable sources tell us the following facts: On Sunday 17 July 2022, Mann drank a glassful of water directly from a river called Kali Bein at Sultanpur Lodhi. Late on Tuesday 19 July 2022, Mann was admitted to admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in Delhi. By road that is a 166 miles (267 km) journey from his official residence in Chandigarh; Mann is said to have done it by helicopter. Mann was discharged from hospital on the evening of 20 July 2022. "AAP leaders have denied Mr Mann had any infection. They say he went to the hospital for a routine checkup."-- Toddy1 (talk) 08:00, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
