A speedy deletion for Caitlin Crosby[edit]

Why is there a Speedy deletion for Caitlin Crosby. If it's a real person. Ricky3374 (talk) 21:58, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The first line of the CSD reads, "This page may meet Wikipedia’s criteria for speedy deletion as a copyright infringement of http://www.mtvmusic.com/crosby__caitlin." Being a real person is not a criteria for inclusion into Wikipedia. See WP:NOTE and WP:BIO. ttonyb (talk) 22:05, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reversion[edit]

Since this article, however flawed at present, is part of a university project which is being advised by Wikipedia's Campus Ambassadors, I'm going to revert to a previous instance so I can see student contributions. If someone believes it's justifiable that the article be shut down again, I request that he/she first float the idea here on the discussion page. Thank you. -Webster Newbold 02:35, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

  • Hello Dr. Newbold. Wikipedia provides a process for reviewing earlier versions of an article through links in the article editing history. Therefore, I've restored the other edits removed in your reversion made on April 22. You can review the previous version of the article here. The article was presented for community discussion of the subject's notability after ten days had passed without contact from the students working on the article. It appeared that further editing by the students had ended. It may interest you to know that during the discussion, editors have worked together to present additional sourcing, which (I believe) may support notability in accordance with the general notability guidelines. We need to await a consensus and decision by an uninvolved editor, but I'm feeling positive. Cind.amuse 23:54, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
    • Thanks for your continued assistance with this article. The students are no longer able to work on it as part of their class work (especially as we are finishing the semester at present and busily engaged in other projects) so if other editors see merit that will in some ways complete their beginning efforts I will be pleased. I'll continue to watch the progress. -Webster Newbold 01:32, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
The article has been proposed for deletion. If it is deleted, you will not be able to see the see the student contributions, either on the page or in the history. If you or your students think the article should not be deleted, you should express those views (giving reasons) on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Caitlin Crosby. You have only a few days to do this.--Toddy1 (talk) 05:24, 25 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
