Carstairs Junction[edit]

Gosh, If Carstairs is a Junction, why isn't the station called that? and likewise Carlisle and Preston and Wigan and Warrington and Crewe - need I go on? Why are they not all called junctions like Clapham and Watford etc. Please would a Scottish person write a worthwhile article about Carstairs railway station instead of messing around with changing the colours of whichever firm they are that run the sleeper trains and please do it while there are still sleeper trains being joined and divided at Carstairs! And please remember that it was built by the Caledonia Railway Company as an equal main line split between Glasgow and Edimburgh. Neither was a branch to the other, then or now.

What is this obsession in Wikiwhatsit with trivia at the expense of worthwhile information?
