Degrees[edit]

Can I ask if anyone knows where he got his MSc from? I imagine his UCL degree is the de rigeur MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery) to practice, his MSc must be a separate one. --Charlie Huang 【遯卋山人】 08:00, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- One would assume it is an intercalated MSc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.47.18.72 (talk) 21:14, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism?[edit]

There is a small blurb in the page that he "works privately for the UK oil and gas industries, as well as for the Australian, New Zealand, and Canadian immigration services". Really now. While Dr. Jessen certainly seems like a busy and multitalented man, is it really true in addition to his other duties, he is vetting would-be immigrants to Australia, New Zealand, and Canada on the side, or is someone being facetious? The Channel 4 bio, which these items are referenced, doesn't support the statement.--Larry G (talk) 16:10, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Openly" gay?[edit]

I have amended the Personal Life section to simply describe him as gay rather than "openly gay". "Openly" would suggest we have to differentiate from people who are secretly gay, and as Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia and not a gossip website, we wouldn't refer to anyone as secretly gay on here. Pronunciation of his surname[edit]

How is Jessen pronounced? Approximately as [jɛsən] or as [dʒɛsən]? — I'm so meta even this acronym (talk) 22:14, 21 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

This page has been vandalised previously and there are still unsourced statements.

These sources relate to the Personal Life Section:

No source found for Jewish ancestry (other than those relying on Wikipedia) so will delete in line with BLP.

Within Career:

No source found for work in oil & gas industry, for any immigration service or occupation health details so will delete in line with BLP. As raised above (Vandalism?) original source does not support.

wikipedia racist contributors[edit]

why are people deleting the obvious fact that he is a racist and protecting the page from people writing facts? Is it possibile to have an encyclopedia that reports facts ? Why is wikipedia asking for money and at the same time actively acting pro-racism? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.89.104.111 (talk) 21:23, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:LABEL. It is against Wikipedia's NPOV policy to include such a contentious label in the lead sentence. A sentence in the article is fine but not in the lead. -- LuK3 (Talk) 21:33, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
