Denethor in Jackson's films[edit]

«In Peter Jackson's film trilogy, Denethor was portrayed as a cowardly, incompetent, and weak leader, dramatizing the temptation to evil that power brings.»

Hi, I think 'weak leader' ain't correct. As a leader Denethor was a strong one, nobody dare to disobey him. And while it's true that he was tempted and ruined, we should address the fact that Sauron worked on him at distance through the Palantir he possessed, and that was more relevant to his falling in despair than the temptation that power brings, I think.

Kind regards! And thanks for your amazing work. ^_^ riveravaldez (talk) 08:31, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the kind remarks, and well spotted, that paragraph hasn't been properly updated. We have much better material at Peter Jackson's interpretation of The Lord of the Rings that I've taken from multiple scholarly sources, so I'll adapt it here now.
