Date of birth[edit]

Eliza's date of birth is different in each of this article (1988 April 15th), her father's article (3 days later, April 18th), and her mother's article (1987, no day specified). Clearly at least two of those are wrong, but all are unsourced so I didn't know which way to fix them. Smylers (talk) 16:43, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Eliza Doolittle was born in Switzerland in 1841". I must say she looks in great shape for someone aged 170 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chris753 (talkcontribs) 13:14, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Background information[edit]

I added some information about Eliza's background, but I heard it on a radio interview and I'm not sure if I've referenced it correctly. The video/audio can be found her, I believe:

She's a relative of Leon Trotsky is the Russian famous revolutionary, through her grandmother. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23924164-trot-of-the-pops-eliza-doolittle-is-related-to-leon-trotsky.do —Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.234.142.168 (talk) 22:33, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Default Eliza Doolittle[edit]

Not the character from Shaw's play? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.102.41.215 (talk) 00:48, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's certainly rather bizarre that with the exception of the "see also" re-direct, there's no acknowledgement of where she got her stage name from! Nick Cooper (talk) 16:18, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Right, having checked it's clear that this page was originally a redirect to Shaw's play, until it was hijacked. I'm therefore going to move the current content to Eliza Doolittle (singer), and make Eliza Doolittle a disambiguation page. Nick Cooper (talk) 16:29, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Nick Cooper (talk) 16:40, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Seems to have been undone. This was very confusing for me. I could swear Eliza Doolittle was some kind of old-timey character and yet there was not even a disambiguation thing. I though I was going nuts. Eliza Doolittle was really only a modern popstar I thought I'd never heard of?? WTF?? So yes please fix this again. 31.53.54.218 (talk) 15:23, 14 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Siblings[edit]

"She has eight younger siblings, one maternal half-brother and seven paternal half-siblings. Her parents split when she was four years old. Her mother went on to have another child, while her father had six." I don't think the math adds up? - 121.208.93.203 (talk) 23:45, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done - six changed to seven. Jim Michael (talk) 11:03, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Eliza Doolittle (singer)[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Eliza Doolittle (singer)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "BPI":

  • From British Phonographic Industry: Gallup (4 February 1989). "The Top of the Pops Chart" (PDF). Record Mirror: 4. Retrieved 16 July 2010.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 12:13, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Political activist[edit]

Are we going to add this to the main paragraph as what she does? I mean if it's added as one of Russell Brand's occupations, who's mainly a comedian, surely it should be added to Eliza's page as well? Proof here - https://twitter.com/BiteTheBallot/status/553913474116382720
