Middle Name[edit]

Endy Chavez' middle name shows up differently (if it all) in ordinarily trusted sites. Baseball-reference.com[1] doesn't list it while espn.com[2] has it as "DeJesus." Mets.com[3] has "William" at the top of his player bio page, but "DeJesus" at the bottom. The Mets Media Guide for 2005 lists no middle name for him.

I ran a googlefight between Endy DeJesus Chavez vs. Endy William Chavez, and it came out 133-16 for DeJesus, for whatever that is worth. It may be that his name is Endy William DeJesus Chavez, but I don't see that anywhere. I'm thinking we're best off leaving it out until there's some consensus among these sources. Launguage[edit]

The language that is used in this article seems to cast Endy in a bad light and sounds very much like speech I will try to find it and change it as much as I can. Metsman 14:46, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Collision with Betancourt[edit]

I think it was a good thing the M's got rid of Yuniesky Betancourt because he doesn't listen...........lol, in the 2009 Seattle Mariners section, regarding the injury on June 19, I made a little changes there to make it a little more specific on what injury Endy Chávez suffered. Before editing it, the sentence said, "On June 19, 2009, while trying to catch a pop-up, Chavez collided with shortstop Yuniesky Betancourt and suffered a severe knee injury." The only thing I edited was the last part of the sentence, saying that he suffered a torn ACL in the right knee, so I think it's best that we give specific details next time. – Michael (talk) 13:22, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
