Italics[edit]

So why is the title not written in italics? Is it because it's a working title? —  HELLKNOWZ  ▎TALK 16:14, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes, it's not an actual title; it's just what the project is referred to for lack of a real name. Powers T 20:11, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Title confirmed as official via Georgeson twitter. This whole article needs a lot of work... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.5.26.19 (talk) 06:48, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Everquest Next?[edit]

Hey this game is the F2P version of Everquest — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.130.18.69 (talk) 18:56, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's not. Powers T 20:10, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It Actually is going to be Free To Play. Straight from SoE president John Smedley (2:57) in the video. You can wait for some "reputable" print organization to start writing about it but it's free to play.

Platform[edit]

Only confirmed for PC at this time. PS4 is pure speculation, should be removed until it has been officially confirmed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.174.94.138 (talk) 15:04, 29 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Subscription Model[edit]

I am unclear on a quote here. It was: "During SOE Live John Smedley also mentioned that EverQuest Next will attempt to keep the P2P subscription model for as long as possible.". Someone changed it to P2P after I put a clarification needed tag there, and expanded F2P to Free to Play. I don't think that is accurate. P2P may have been an acronym for "Pay to Play" (i.e. the traditional subscription model). Free to play isn't a subscription model. Does anyone have a better reference for this? Otherwise I'm going to remove that line completely (since I believe it to be wrong as it is now, and unclear when it was P2P). Caidh (talk) 15:29, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it makes no sense as it is now. Smedley could not have meant F2P. --SubSeven (talk) 20:27, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK, so it was just worded incorrectly in the article then (it's F2P, not a subscription) --SubSeven (talk) 02:01, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Cartoonish Look[edit]

"While previous titles by the developer have been "cartoonish" this engine re-defines them. It has lost its cartoon sense almost completely, heading for realism."
This new game is much more cartoonish than EQ1/2.

Guess it doesn't matter now. The game was cancelled. :( Jakeroberts93 (talk) 18:22, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
