Done, as uncontroversial, since this is the correct name now and Sutherland had no article that needed merging anyway. @Seth Whales: This article needs to be updated with the history of Sutherland Asbill & Brennan though, so please help with that if possible. Since I know people working at Eversheds from my studies and professional career, I am wary of making changes myself. Regards So Why 12:00, 14 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Change opening line as is now very inaccurate.[edit]

Since Eversheds Sutherland is now a combination of two law firms (Eversheds and Sutherland Law), US regulators forbid the new entity to be named as a law 'firm'. Please can this be edited so the passage reads as below.

Eversheds Sutherland Ltd (until 1 February 2017: Eversheds LLP and Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP) is a global multinational law practice.

Headquartered in London part should now be removed because as a combination entity we do not have one single headquarters. Thanks for the changes So Why - however the opening text does not still not describe the company accurately - Please see text below which is taken from the footer of the Eversheds Sutherland global website (http://www.eversheds-sutherland.com) and explains how the different entities operate under one global brand and why it cannot be referred to as a 'law firm' but only a 'law practice'.

Eversheds Sutherland is a global provider of legal services operating through various separate and distinct legal entities.

Eversheds Sutherland is the name and brand under which the members of Eversheds Sutherland Limited (Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP and Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP) and their respective controlled, managed and affiliated firms and the members of Eversheds Sutherland (Europe) Limited (each an "Eversheds Sutherland Entity" and together the "Eversheds Sutherland Entities") provide legal or other services to clients around the world. Eversheds Sutherland Entities are constituted and regulated in accordance with relevant local regulatory and legal requirements and operate in accordance with their locally registered names. Death of Geraint Thomas[edit]
