Information about bus and rail links[edit]

There has been a bit of an edit war over the detail included about buses from Foots Cray. It's better to discuss this on the talk page. From my point of view, the current (longer and more detailed) version is pretty excessive. From WP:NOTEVERYTHING: "Information should not be included in this encyclopedia solely because it is true or useful. A Wikipedia article should not be a complete exposition of all possible details, but a summary of accepted knowledge regarding its subject." The edited version suggested by the anonymous user seems to me to summarise the bus situation in Foots Cray in as great detail as anyone might need. I would say that anyone who is interested in the more exhaustive account of those routes already knows them, and would not come to wikipedia for that information! It's good someone opened discussion rather than reverting, like I did. I will write a shorter section, more in line with what is normally included in Wikipedia locality articles. Maybe later today.  Carlwev  07:36, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, new version looks good to me. Another alternative would be a list, but I know a lot of people on wikipedia are averse to lists! Jdcooper (talk) 10:22, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
