Multi screen limitation?[edit]

this is a quote from a kotaku- "We'd heard talk that Turn 10's Forza Motorsport 2 would support up to eight monitors, but Forza community manager and former game journo Che Chou told me that the Xbox 360 sequel would only work with five monitors and five tandem Xboxes." I'm not saying that this quote is perfectly accurate, however having "Technically, it is possible to add as many screens as Xbox 360 consoles and televisions available." in the article without a citation at all is a little misleading. (i mean, NO limitation? what if you run out of IP's for the 360's?) 69.128.116.190 14:47, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have seen the actual multi-screen being used. Of course you need an X360 for each screen.

you could always put the 257th xbox on a different subnet to continue adding them.

70 More Cars[edit]

I've heard that Forza 2 will have 70 more cars than Forza 1. If this is true, that's tight!

Nope its actually 300+. That could mean 301 or 399, LOL who knows. Either way, i say itll turn out to be around 310-340. Thats a nice amount if you ask me considering how much you can do with each car.
Yea the amount that can be done with just one car is incredible.

Shame this page doesnt contain more information regarding tracks, cars, and information about them since we at least know most of the tracks that will be available.can you ply 4 player on 1 screen

DECEMBER?![edit]

Amazon says it's November. Why was it pushed back?

The reasn was never given but i'm sure they had a good reason... and it's Q1 2007 now

Stay with www.forzacentral.com for all your Forxa 2 needs

Please don't advertise on wikipedia. -James086 09:03, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Great, now it's been pushed back to February. 192.235.1.34 19:56, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pushed Back AGAIN![edit]

Forza Motorsport 2 has been pushed back to APRIL according to Amazon. 67.188.172.165 20:47, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ugh. Now May! WHEN will they release it? 67.188.172.165 17:31, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

This page needs some cleanup. Ampersands (&) are not professional. JAF1970 20:04, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looking better. Still needs citations. JAF1970 21:44, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What exactly needs citations? I can try to verify the information. Kevin82485
I marked the items that need citation. I did the best I could with some of the information. JAF1970 03:01, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Car ID[edit]

I'm no good at ID'ing cars -- if there are any cars in IGN's new screenshots page not listed, please mention them. JAF1970 19:34, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Moving the car list[edit]

I'm nominating that the car list be moved to a different page with a link to that new page on the Forza 2 page because the list is growing very large and is making the page larger than necessary. Kevin82485 10:07, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nissan 350Z[edit]

There is actually a Nissan 350Z, instead, is the Japanese version called Nissan Fairlady. I don't want to edit it because the page is a complete crap and it would require a major update. Wikifan21century 00:25, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Collectors Edition[edit]

Is the collectors edition the same price? Will it be a limited edition? Can someone verify if the collectors edition will be sold in the United States?

Release Date[edit]

The Release DAte for europe is not june 8th. I live in germany and I saw it in a local shop on june 6th. It might even have been there earlier, but i don't know. But I saw it there on june 6th!--84.60.222.143 12:00, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Collector's Edition in Europe[edit]

I received the game on Friday and I can confirm the card inside contained a code for XBL Marketplace to download the 3 cars as specified in the article and not the 350Z/Fairlady Z. James MSC 03:36, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aston Martin[edit]

Is it maybe just me or does the British version of the game have an Aston Martin rather than a Nissan on the front cover? --Phill talk Edits Review this GA review! 09:19, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, looks like a modified DB9 to me! Fin© 09:44, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay cheers - is that just with the European version then? --Phill talk Edits Review this GA review! 10:47, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Seems to be, the NTSC versions have the 350z, though the JP version calls it a Nissan Fairlady. Can't find any Australia boxart, so I dunno if it's PAL or what. Fin© 10:54, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Car List[edit]

Who took the car list away from the article? I can't even find it on the site anymore, and I request that it would be put back up immediately. An explanation is needed ASAP. --Philz20 05:53, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

soapbox crap[edit]

what's with the soapbox crap on the bottem about causing circular scratches on the disk, is it trying to say that the forza 2 disk somehow isn't a regular DVD shape causing physical damage or what I suspect is the case is retarded fanboi'ism

I removed the section. It was out of hand and was reading awfully confrontational and self-serving. Accuracy was certainly questionable. Folks need to read WP:SOAP and Wikipedia:Avoid weasel words. Feel free to re-add content that can be referenced some a source other than a forum. --Swaaye 01:27, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. also, the circular scratching is a well-known result of the lens shifting position due to being bumped or moved (ridiculous engineered design flaw, in my opinion, but that's beside the point). But the first comment in this section comes across as goofy. Said poster should probably learn to spell better. MagicFlyinLemur 02:25, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Soundtrack?[edit]

Wasn't there a soundtrack listing? Why was it removed? MagicFlyinLemur 01:22, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

why dosnt anyone answer this question, ha? You wikipedia-nazis! where is tracklist??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.163.84.205 (talk) 21:25, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a soundtrack listing. Omegacommand (talk) 04:46, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, was interested in that. Now only if we could get a car list... Andrew647 19:36, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Game Crash?[edit]

Why was the official response by Take 10 Studios, removed from the game crash section?

  • Edit back with ref and main point, paragraph rephrased to conform with NOPV. Kenimaru 09:39, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Kenimaru!

Overview: fps?[edit]

I'm not sure it's appropriate to open the overview section with details on things like frames per second in gameplay mode vs replay mode. That seems more like incredibly small details that possibly shouldn't even be in the article.

Criticism for track pricing[edit]

many users ( http://forums.xbox.com/16291963/ShowPost.aspx ) are complaining about the pricing for the upcoming track which is set at 600 microsoft points or about $7.50. the retail game had a relatively low amount of tracks compared similar games (PGR4, GT4) and many assumed that new tracks would be released at no cost. now I dont believe forums.xbox.com is an appropriate source for Wikipedia, but if someone can figure a way to work this criticism into the article, then have at it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.234.58.18 (talk) 17:11, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No Car Lists[edit]

It should'nt be created because Wikipedia is not the game guide. Also, only the fans will see unlocked cars, rather than seeing entire vehicles from this article. Professional Gamer 18:50, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What about including a list of cars would make this a game guide? The list of tracks is already included. I don't understand what you are trying to say in your second statement. How is this any different than a list of songs in Guitar Hero II? --Holderca1 talk 18:36, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
IMO, if Gamefaqs has it, then this site doesn't need it, problem with these are these will always be an Articles for Deletion fodder and numerous users has stated in the past that they do nothing but clutter the article. Personally, like myself, gamers should always refer to Gamefaqs for help. Willirennen (talk) 03:37, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't make sense, of course another site is going to have it, all information on Wikipedia can be found elsewhere or it would be original research. I wasn't suggesting it should be part of this article as a list of over 300 cars would be clutter, but a separate list article would be appropriate. Also, I don't see how a list of cars would be a help to a gamer. I don't own this game. I am a fan of cars more than car games. I was just interested in what cars are included. --Holderca1 talk 13:51, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Awards[edit]

This game pretty much won most of the racing game awards, anyone have a full list link? Stabby Joe (talk) 15:13, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DLC Names?[edit]

I couldn't play Forza 2 anymore this year after transferring content from old Xbox 360 to new Xbox 360 Slim console and I have to download the DLC packages again. Xbox Live doesn't have Forza 2 section anymore, so I started going through my download history to download the DLC, but the history list is so huge I actually need to know the DLC names to find them. Anyone know the DLC names, so they could be added to the Wikipedia article? Max Limitz (talk) 00:02, 10 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
