Line of sight[edit]

Was line of sight a factor in this game? For instance, were units limited in what they could shoot at by the presence of props or scenery like trees, walls, buildings, etc.? SharkD  Talk  01:42, 8 January 2011 (UTC) It was not.[reply]
This and Front Mission 2 have easily the most generous form of weapon range as both short range and melee could strike the same enemies at the same distance at the same accuracy. Terrain only really became a factor starting in 3.-ZenithV (talk) 03:16, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

References for Original SNES/Super Famicom Release[edit]

We need reviews and development information for that release for both sections. Anyone have anything? Judgesurreal777 (talk) 06:10, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The remake of "Front Mission" should get its own page entry[edit]

We've had a bunch of remakes released over the past years and each one has gotten its own page to distinguish it from re-releases and remasters of an already released game. This includes the following games:

The original game was 2D and re-released on multiple consoles whereas the upcoming game will be a complete remake with 3D graphics. I think the page information for the remake should be separated from this one and made into its own. Considering that the upcoming Resident Evil 4 remake already has its own page despite not being out yet, Resident Evil 4 (2023 video game), we should do the same for the remake since it will be rebuilt from the ground up like the other games. Any thoughts? Freshpo (talk) 06:56, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • If no one has any objections then I will make the move when the game gets released or if we get more information about the remake to fill the page. Freshpo (talk) 23:50, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

About the SNES fan translation[edit]

Here is proof of my just removed edit that the Super Famicom version got an English fan patch. I don´t know how complete the 2001 patch was but the 2023 one is a full transition and doesn´t use the DS script: https://www.romhacking.net/games/306/ I have no idea how to source this but it exists. Proof of Gun Hazard´s fan translation is also documented on that site if that edit comes into question.

@77.64.146.133: - WP:VGSCOPE states that "Unless they are mentioned by independent reliable sources, unofficial translations should not be mentioned" - the translation itself on romhacking.net isn't a source showing notability. Waxworker (talk) 15:01, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
