  • A large part of the area (north of the railway) is in the postcode area Twickenham TW2, including London United headquarters TW2 5NX, which is the address shown on all their buses. I tried editing it, but ran into problems. Donnanz (talk) 14:41, 3 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Historic County in the Lead[edit]

PlatinumClipper96 As you are well aware, this text is not compliant with WP:UKTOWNS and [[WP:UKCOUNTIES}} Fulwell is a neighbourhood of outer South West London in the historic County of Middlesex because, as we have seen elsewhere, in wikivoice we do not assert that the historic counties still exist in their previous borders. You say that historic county should be in the lead, and that advice is in WP:UKTOWNS, but guidelines for leads also state that leads must summarise the main text and in this page there is no history that explains anything about a historic county so the text inserted about historic county is not a summary. Remember that historic county is only mentioned in the lead when historically the place was in a different county to the current one. If the page doesn't make that clear, that information does not belong in the lead.

So what to do? Well I would suggest simply reverting in your preferred non compliant text is not the answer. Rather, there must be an edit to the main page to add in history that can be summarised, and then compliant text goes in the lead. I will see what I can do now.
