Functions[edit]

What purposes did the building serve between construction in 1879 and 1900, when the Metropolitan Borough of Holborn was established? Jackiespeel (talk) 11:37, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Holborn was previously governed by an administrative vestry known as "St Andrew Holborn Above Bars". See here. I suspect that it hosted meetings of the vestry board and later on it might have hosted meetings of the shadow borough council before it was formally constituted.
