Noteability[edit]

I'm not a big fan of football and certainly not of OSU! (go U of M Wolverines) but this fellow appears real. A quick google for his name turns up lots of references to him as a qb for OSU. If someone wanted to expand this into a real article, there's material out there. Whether backup quarterbacks are notable enough for articles? I dunno. But I did want to mention it. Wont' be sussed if this gets deleted, and I won't be expanding it myself. ++Lar: t/c 02:32, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, maybe you're right, a backup QB probably doesn't deserve his own article. I just saw a red link on Troy Smith's article and decided to undertake the project. If it gets deleted, so be it. --TheMan232 04:20, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He most certainly is noteable. He was a starter for a major NCAA Division I-A football team in a bowl game. How many people get that claim? Only ~50 total a year have that chance period, let alone for a major team. I removed the noteability template. --MECUtalk 21:44, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, this kid was a freshman, when I was a senior at Orrville, he did not lead our football to the win in our championship game, another kid won the game by catching the ball. Second there is a reason he was replaced as starting quarter back at Ohio State, he just wasn't that good and Troy Smith was a much better player.
