Proposed split[edit]

The article Gus Fisher Gallery contains a large section about the building it occupies, now known as the Kenneth Myers Centre. The gallery has only occupied the building since 2001 whereas the building was built in 1934 so most of this section has little relevance within an article primarily about the gallery. A more detailed history of the building would be more appropriate in the context of its own article. I recommend a brief summary remain in the original article along with a link to the main article. Similarly, the new article about the building will also want to discuss its current use, but this can also be a brief summary that links to the main article about the gallery and the gallery's various functions. Was it the first purpose built radio building?[edit]

A 'New Zealand Broadcasting Company's studio in France Street, Newton, is now completed' article shows a building opened in 1926, so is "making it the first purpose-built public radio building in New Zealand" correct? The article had it wrong; the Heritage NZ source doesn't say that it was the first purpose-built radio station. What it does say is that it was built for the "first licensed radio station in New Zealand". I've removed the untrue statement.

And having just checked the article history, I myself wrote that. Oops. Ah well, maybe the source did say that back then. Schwede 66 23:25, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
