Wears a Dress[edit]

According to this article, Kevin Rowland walks around in ladies' clothing. Should this be added? 76.1.76.141 (talk) 08:31, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Critical acclaim for 'My beauty'??[edit]

The reason I came to this page was because I have heard nothing but critical maulings of that album. Whoever said that is either talking through their rear end, or needs to provide evidence. I am pretty sure that criticism was universal for that project.

Blam! - Much too fast[edit]

I was watching this episode today (here is a link http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0526817/combined). Kevin Rowland is featured, fronting a band credited as "BeBop". The song has a line in the chorus "Me and Mr Smooth". Is this a side project to Dexys or just a one-off?--TrogWoolley 14:17, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Almost everything is wrong but if I attenpt to correct it I'll be barred again by the 15 year old czech victim of paedophilia who thinks pressing the spellcheck button makes him an intellectual (YES that n in attempt earlier is just to get you excited). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.155.23.216 (talk) 00:35, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Middle initial[edit]

What does the middle initial "A" stand for? I have never seen him listed as such, just Kevin Rowland.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 09:13, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Too Rye Aye[edit]

...is billed as by "Kevin Rowland & Dexys Midnight Runners", and as such should probably be included here.FrFintonStack (talk) 15:10, 7 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not Wikiquote[edit]

Quotations sections do not belong on Wikipedia WP:NOT WP:QUOTE they go on Wikiquote instead. 64.4.93.100 (talk) 21:04, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello, can you please direct me to the exact section of WP:NOT that prohibits quotation sections. Thanking you. 85.210.96.50 (talk) 21:14, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Lists or repositories of loosely associated topics such as (but not limited to) quotations, aphorisms, or persons (real or fictional). If you want to enter lists of quotations, put them into our sister project Wikiquote" 64.4.93.100 (talk) 21:17, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • So I assume that after removing these quotes you are adding them to Wikiquote? 85.210.96.50 (talk) 21:25, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • No, it's "if you want to enter" quotations; I don't. Since you do, head over there right now. 64.4.93.100 (talk) 21:26, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • So your sole purpose appears to be the removal of sourced information without adding it on to a sister project. How does this improve the encyclopedia? 85.210.96.50 (talk) 21:31, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Removing information that doesn't belong in an encyclopedia improves the encyclopedia. Adding it on a different website is nice and all but not part of that purpose. 64.4.93.100 (talk) 16:57, 6 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Brahma Kumaris[edit]

I have read on the web that Rowland was, for a brief while, a member of the Brahma Kumaris. Could this go somewhere in the article? Vorbee (talk) 17:42, 14 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Van Morrison[edit]

I have read that Kevin Rowland is a big admirer of Van Morrison and had a hit with a cover version of "Jackie Wilson Said". Should Van Morrison be mentioned in the article? Vorbee (talk) 08:16, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I read that Rowland said of the Too-Rye-Ay album something like "I was listening to a lot of Van Morrison at the time", but Rowland acknowledges a lot of influences and inspirations and I'm not sure Van Morrison is particularly pre-eminent. There is some relevant information at Jackie Wilson Said (I'm in Heaven When You Smile)#Dexys Midnight Runners' version, which is probably where it belongs (or in the Too-Rye-Ay article) rather than in this one.
