Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because there is an indication in the caption that this is a Belgian Royal Society. Cmprince (talk) 02:31, 10 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance for several reasons. This association has been launched in 1922 and is still in activity. In November, they will celebrate the 90 years of existence. This association has been publicly recognized and has received the right to ad the title of « royal society » by the king of Belgians (document shown on page). This article has been written with reliable sources shown such as the « liber memorialis » and the official law book of the association called « codex ». This association is not only a student fraternity, it provides its members a lifetime link between each other. During meetings such as the « dies natalis » that takes place in Bruges every year, some members older than 70 years old participate. I am highly knowledgeable about the subject since I am a member of this society since 3 years. Also, my father is a member and entered this association more than 30 years ago when he was a student in Leuven. For your information, I wrote the english version of the page (it exists in french and flemish already, Flemish version still needs to be completed) because an older member (84 year old) asked me to do it because every time we have our external meetings, tourists ask us what we are and what we do. Now he can redirect them to this page. If anybody needs more information, please ask. And if once you’re visiting Leuven, come have a beer in the cafe « in den boule » since it’s there we meet every tuesdays. Sydney.jadot
