Some of these names are not strictly exonyms[edit]

The list includes a number of communes with facilités for Dutch speakers, so that they do not conform to the Wikipedia definition of exonym. However, since the Flemish government wants to abolish the official French names of the faciliteitengemeenten, effectively making names such as Espierres and Renaix exonyms officially, it would be a bit awkward to delete the facilités names here because the Walloon government has not (yet) decided to return the favour. But perhaps some note should be made of this? --Pan Gerwazy 16:06, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And Plombières-Bleiberg is a funny one: the Dutch exonym is in fact the official German name of the place, so it probably is not an exonym either.--Pan Gerwazy 16:24, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
