Live music; Clubs[edit]

Does the division of these two headings make sense? If so, are all the "clubs" under "Clubs" instead of "Live music"? Best regards, -- Ssilvers 14:56, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In my day, clubs would have had a DJ, Live music would be a band. Now DJs are stars and I'm not sure today's denizens are quite so discriminating. Kbthompson
I don't think this point is so much about star DJ's - more that simple economics has forced more "live venues" to put on (non-star) DJ nights to get people through the door, and traditional clubs are getting PAs to glitz up their DJ offerings - G-A-Y is the most obvious example. Having said that, it's usually pretty obvious where a venue's priorities lie, even if there is a continuum between the two. Le Deluge (talk) 11:30, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think that separating the different types of venues would greater display this list. Club in terms of music would be like Underworld, 100 Club. It's not referring to the 'Club' scene, a club is an actual type of entertainment building. it's bigger than a pub/bar, smaller than an academy.

I think this list would look good separated as:

Stadiums - Arenas - Halls - Academys - Clubs - Pubs & Bars

Very old theater, body discovered inside a wall[edit]

What theater was this? It was in either London or Paris. The theater still stands, as far as I know, but I forget which it is. It is over 300 years old. Apparently during renovations in the mid-1800s a body was discovered inside a wall. This sound familiar to anybody? --208.65.188.23 (talk) 06:41, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't the place to ask, but this sounds like the body found in the Theatre Royal that is usually linked to the "Man in Grey" ghost. Le Deluge (talk) 11:30, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Brockwell Park[edit]

There is no theatre in this so I have deleted it from the list. SmokeyTheCat 10:20, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

However it is regularly used for open-air theatre - I guess it depends on whether you define a "venue" as having a permanent structure or not. Le Deluge (talk) 11:30, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
