Bucky Curtis[edit]

Any reason the ESPN encyclopedia neglected to mention Bucky Curtis? He had an unreal 27 catches for 791 yards in 1950, thanks to Bill Wade. Cake (talk) 23:39, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The ESPN Encyclopedia data for 1950 is limited to receivers with at least 36 receptions. If we have a reliable source confirming Curtis had 791 receiving yards in 1950, we could substitute him as the true receiving yards leader. Cbl62 (talk) 00:12, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see, so the insane average hurt him in this instance. In my experience, this source is pretty good. Cake (talk) 00:16, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but I found a reliable source confirming that he was the yardage leader and have made the needed change to the chart. Cbl62 (talk) 00:20, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Would you happen to know if Bennie Oosterbaan's 8 TDs as a sophomore were all receptions? Cake (talk) 06:24, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Don't know. Cbl62 (talk) 20:58, 29 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
