Restoring deleted section[edit]

This article previously contained a section about sexual harassment accusations against Marc Canter. Over the years, the section has been awkwardly rewritten with unsourced rebuttals and attacks against journalists (WP:NOR, WP:POV) and blanked multiple times. (See edits between 9 December 2020 and 24 September 2021, as well as the Talk section above dated 9 April 2021 for documentation about the edits.) Given the specific details made in these edits, the contribution history of the users who edited this section (their edits are almost exclusively related to this page), and Canter's self-professed history of policing of the content on this page in violation of WP:AUTO (see Talk:Marc_Canter/Archives/2015), it's probable that the editor who edited/removed this section was Canter himself.

This section could stand to be rewritten, but it was well-sourced from reliable sources and should not have been deleted outright, especially under these circumstances. I've restored the section as it appeared in December 2020, before many of these anonymous unsourced edits were made, and I've requested that this page be protected. I am not a regular Wikipedia editor, and I don't know the current policies and community norms for handling accusations in biographies of living persons, but I know enough to realize that these edits likely violated a number of Wikipedia guidelines and requires some form of intervention. I hope that an experienced editor is able to revise this section and prevent future 2601:142:0:6370:D8C5:A4DD:84A3:65E3 (talk) 22:48, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We have WP:BLPCRIME policy for such situations. Cheers, — kashmīrī TALK 23:50, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
