IMDb is not a reliable source[edit]

IMDb is not a reliable source. It's content is created by experts and not users. It should not be added to this page. ~ HAL333 11:55, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You’re correct, but for a filmography, a released film is the primary source and no additional source is required. Rcarter555 (talk) 14:02, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Removing legitimate credits.[edit]

A certain user continues to remove legitimate credits because he believes they have to be sourced. It’s my understanding that a released film or episode of a tv show is itself a primary source and does not need additional sourcing. Can anyone else chime in? Rcarter555 (talk) 06:47, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

100% Agree. It's ludicrous to request sources for past credits. B.Davis2003 (talk) 07:32, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Rcarter555 I agree as well. It seems you now have consensus. HAL333 even removed a role I added with an RS because he didn’t like it and is exercising ownership of the page. Samurai Kung fu Cowboy (talk) 20:22, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Why ping a participant in a year-old discussion? Ah. Because they'll likely agree with you. Minor canvassing. ~ HAL333 23:01, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
HAL333 No. Because I agree with them on this issue. I'm letting them know they have two editors who are backing them up in spite of your opposition. I am not asking them to chime in on our issue. It's why I pinged you here as well. But this editor is correct. An aired program does not require an outside source if it's aired and the performance is credited, as all anyone has to do to verify it is access the credits. As far as our issue I'll message you on that section. Samurai Kung fu Cowboy (talk) 01:05, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Removed material[edit]

Please stop edit warring Rcarter555. If you can not verify performances with reliable sources, they should not be included. ~ HAL333 23:23, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

One revert and an addition of a source (which you have independently deemed unreliable) is hardly edit warring. Your obvious goal to remove any accuracy from this page because of your pedantic need for sources you deem reliable is obvious. You’re welcome to it. This page no longer has any veracity. Rcarter555 (talk) 23:31, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It was two reverts, not one. ~ HAL333 00:59, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
In any event, this page is now less accurate thanks to your edits. I stand by my interpretation that a released or broadcast film or tv show serves as a primary source and doesn’t require a secondary source. If you would think about it logically for a second, you would realize this is true. But your own ego has gotten in the way and made this page less accurate. Hope that makes you happy. Rcarter555 (talk) 05:29, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
HAL333 Unfortunately this does seem to be the case. The policies you cite are inaccurate and you appear to be exercising ownership of the page. Samurai Kung fu Cowboy (talk) 20:18, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Another role for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood[edit]

Samurai Kung fu Cowboy Robbie is already listed as playing Tate in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It can stand alone. ~ HAL333 17:28, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

HAL333But adding full information is better as this is an encyclopedia. She played a second role. It can be noted with a reliable source as it was. Podcasts are considered reliable on Wikipedia, considering it’s an interview with Robbie. It fits the criteria of RS. You not liking it is a separate issue but does not warrant removal or you mis-citing a policy. Samurai Kung fu Cowboy (talk) 17:34, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
She did not play a second role. She was Sharon Tate throughout the entire film. Even when she was depicted as having an acting role within the film, she never ceased being Tate. Her being this other character is not found in anything published by The New York Times or The Washington Post or any other high quality RS. Including it would violate NPOV because it is an extreme minority view. ~ HAL333 17:42, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Also you clearly never listened to the podcast. Robbie clearly states she plays the role of the stewardess in OUATIH Samurai Kung fu Cowboy (talk) 17:42, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to change the status quo, the onus is on you to gain consensus. And as of now, no one is agreeing with you. ~ HAL333 17:44, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You’re not agreeing out of your own stated ignorance of the role. Adding a role with a reliable source does not require consensus on a filmography page. Removing it does. Since you won’t listen to the source yourself here’s the relevant info. Robbie reprises her role as Cameron the Pan Am stewardess in OUATIH. Tarantino did this on purpose after watching all of Pan Am. It happens on Dalton’s flight from Italy to LA. Although Robbies face is not shown, she makes and serves a drink to Dalton. Not as Tate but as Cameron. That’s why I added the RS in which Robbie herself states this. All you had to do was listen to the two minutes yourself. You didn’t and now your argument is ignorant and not factual. Samurai Kung fu Cowboy (talk) 17:52, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

For clarity for anyone reading here is the ref: https://anchor.fm/wmagazine/episodes/Episode-1-Margot-Robbie-e9ev0t Between the six minute and eight minute marker, Robbie confirms she plays the character in the Tarantino film as well as Tate. This also confirms the other editor on here made no attempt to verify the source, removed it incorrectly, and has continued to make incorrect statements about the role. Samurai Kung fu Cowboy (talk) 19:02, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Samurai Kung fu Cowboy As a compromise, how about including this info as a note. That would address issues of undue weight. ~ HAL333 00:19, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
HAL333 Sounds fine to me. Thanks for compromising. Samurai Kung fu Cowboy (talk) 01:07, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to. I have to concede that its inclusion actually is warranted. ~ HAL333 01:44, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Forgot another 3 films in "Filmography"[edit]

You guys have to put another 3 films which is : Gotham City Sirens, Ruin, and Barbie, those films are announced, and they're gonna be released

You guys put it, because i'm not quite good with sources! Thanks!! LRP19PT (talk) 14:59, 19 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done, films that are announced or preproduction dont go in the filmography tables until production has started per WP:NFF. They cant be listed in the article under career as upcoming projects with reliable sourcing but not filmographies. LADY LOTUSTALK 15:44, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Point of this picture in Robbie's filmography page[edit]

Instead of edit-warring, HAL333, can you please tell us the point of this image on this page? A picture in which Jared Leto is the main focus, and a half-cut Robbie is in the background? Krimuk2.0 (talk) 06:07, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This image is good because it relates to a specific film she did, fitting for a filmography. Do you have any better images?03:38, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
