Age Dispute[edit]

I'd just like to point out that, just as Rose didn't establish Rose as 19 - this being left to The Unquiet Dead - Invasion of the Bane didn't say Maria is 13.—13:05, 8 January 2007 Stripey

The Slitheen what?[edit]

"the Slitheen want to crash the moon into the earth and turn off the Sun"

huh? whoever wrote this needs to re-watch the Slitheen episodes. In their first appearance, they wanted to turn off the sun. In their second, they want to sell Luke's telekinetic energy, and Mr. Smith wants to send the Moon crashing into Earth. Just thought I'd point this out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.127.68.230 (talk) 00:11, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Maria JacksonMaria Jackson (The Sarah Jane Adventures) – I think Maria Jackson should be moved to Maria Jackson (The Sarah Jane Adventures) to keep in context that this is a fictional character and not a real person just as the rest of The Sarah Jane Adventure Character Pages do such as Luke Smith (The Sarah Jane Adventures), Rani Chandra (The Sarah Jane Adventures), Mr Smith (The Sarah Jane Adventures) etc. Thanks Sfxprefects (talk) 13:20, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose: Adding something such as "(The Sarah Jane Adventures)" is for disambiguation purposes, not to establish context. The other articles you mentioned are disambiguated because Luke Smith, Rani Chandra, and Mr Smith already have articles. Maria Jackson does not, however. Ωphois 17:23, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose per Ophois. The purpose of disambiguation is to provide context only if there is a title conflict. Edokter (talk) — 19:33, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment whatever the case, the redirect should exist if this isn't moved. 65.94.77.11 (talk) 07:34, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Noone is likely to type "Maria Jackson (The Sarah Jane Adventures)" into the search bar. As long as "Maria Jackson" takes you to the right article, there is no need for disambiguation or a redirect. Edokter (talk) — 07:41, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's likely enough, since if you expect a Maria Jackson to exist, you could think that the disambiguated form will lead you to the correct page without needing to go through disambiguatory processing like dab pages or hatnotes. "Maria Jackson" isn't exactly a rare name combination. 65.94.77.11 (talk) 05:15, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy oppose. User misunderstands what dabs are for.Zythe (talk) 12:40, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
