Repeated re-insertion of the calendar of events[edit]

Both anonymous IP editors and User:MSSAbasset have been re-adding the calendar of events. They should not be re-added again. One of Wikipedia's policies is that Wikipedia is not a directory, and such a calendar is a clear violation of that policy.

Further investigation has led me to discover that the MSSA website consists only of a link to this article and a link to the MSSA Facebook page. On the Facebook page I found comments such as this one (expand the MSSA's reply to Godfrey Eybers) in which the MSSA links to this article for someone asking about the dates of events.

This fact, along with the username "MSSAbasset", suggests very strongly that the MSSA is trying to use this article in lieu of hosting its own website. Now let's get something very clear: Wikipedia is not your webhost. The MSSA cannot control the information that appears in its Wikipedia article. If you want to post a calendar of events, that is what your own website is for.

I would also advise anyone from the MSSA who considers editing this article to carefully read the policy on conflict of interest and the best practices for editors with close associations. - htonl (talk) 12:13, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring[edit]

There was a slow-moving edit war about whether or not MSSA's affiliation with SASCOC has been suspended. Edit warring is not acceptable; controversial changes should be discussed here on the talk page to reach a consensus. I have semi-protected the article for a month; that's not an endorsement of the current version. Huon (talk) 18:17, 11 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
