Comment[edit]

When I played Saga Frontier 2, I recall it having pocket station compatibility (and it was the US version)

Yep, I had an imported Pocketstation and would play the SF2 minigame at work all the time.

Copyright violation[edit]

The technical specifications of the PocketStation were directly copied into the wiki article from http://www.skattertech.com/2006/01/the-sony-pocketstation/. Possible copyright violation? --Nessup 02:15, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No that information should come under free use. 202.7.202.2 06:25, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, I don't think so[edit]

The specs aren't created by the site in question. They are factual pieces of information that cannot be copyrighted by a website that shows them.

PocketStation vs. VMU[edit]

Perhaps an expert can write a section on the rivalry between Sega and Sony as played out in the VMU vs. PocketStation "war"? Paul Haymon 10:59, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Comment[edit]

"For example, using PocketStation a player may be able to 'level up' characters in one's favorite PlayStation game while driving their car to work."

Sounds dangerous. --Caeliv 23:34, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've heard the games Love Hina 1 and 2 uses PocketStation. --200.103.117.40 16:09, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry[edit]

I know this isn't about the article, but I need to know - could I import a Pocketstation and use it with an American ps2 and American FF8? I really don't want to have to get the PC version, so if there's any workarounds to the Pocketstation sidequest, I would like to know about it. Thanks to anyone who can answer!74.140.121.203 (talk) 03:47, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've heard it will work, but you may want to check gamefaqs to be sure. Alternatively, you could use a GameShark (cheat device) to change the GF. --71.172.37.93 (talk) 03:45, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Media listed[edit]

Can CD-ROMs really be listed as media used by the PocketStation? Because the only media it really interfaced with was the PlayStation, it didn't take CD-ROMs directly at all. 4RM0 (talk) 05:22, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Monster World Correction[edit]

Changed the list entry of Monster World to Monster Complete World and removed incorrect link to the Monster World franchise page. The cited magazine source has an upcoming release list with "Monster World" slated for sometime in April 1999, however there was no game called Monster World released for the Playstation. What did release was Monster Complete World in May 1999, which has Pocketstation support, so I'd say it's a pretty clear-cut case that this is what the magazine was referring to, and not the Sega franchise. 90.230.109.158 (talk) 20:16, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
