Riddlesdown CommonRiddlesdown (open space) – The official name of this open space is Riddlesdown, not Riddlesdown Common. It may be known as Riddlesdown Common to many locally, but on the City of London and London Borough of Croydon websites, and on the signage on Riddlesdown itself, it is called just "Riddlesdown". More importantly, it is NOT legally designated as common land, so it is wrong to refer to it as a common. I propose that this article should either be subsumed within the existing "Riddlesdown" article (which refers mainly to the Riddlesdown suburban area), or if it is desired to keep it as a separate article then "Riddlesdown (open space)". I would oppose a merge as the suburb is a separate subject, but I would be happy with a change of name. I do not see the need for brackets and I would prefer Riddlesdown open space. Dudley Miles (talk) 20:52, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
