Non-Triple Crown nominated horses[edit]

Shouldn't the Road to the KY Derby chart - with the points allocations - still reflect horses who have earned points yet are not yet TC nominated? Example being the win, place, show finishers in the El Camino Real Derby at Golden Gate Fields on Feb 16th. While winner Dice Flavor is not currently TC nominated he still can easily be so nominated via the second closing March 23, 2013 for $6,000. Unless I've missed an update he (and the 2nd and 3rd, finishers) were not factored into the running Derby points chart.

A footnote for those points earning horses not nominated to the TC is fine to tack on. However leaving them off would seemingly be a bigger headache to try and go back and re-add any of them later. Currently the wiki chart still shows horses who are effectively off the Derby trail by virtue of injury yet still with points. Thoughts? --Kellsboro Jack (talk) 18:16, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The non-nominated horses are designated in brown in the overall standings so they are already reflected there. If you look at the standings, you'll see Dice Flavor and others not yet nominated reflected with their associated points if they pursue the required fees to be nominated....unless I'm seeing this note after this was already taken care of. The wiki-page is usually a bit time lagged due to the official sources having their data available first. Stylteralmaldo (talk) 14:55, 24 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The standings were changed shortly after my comments before so it appears as if it was simply a timing issue. --Kellsboro Jack (talk) 14:29, 25 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
