Nickname, Basketball Coaching Record[edit]

I'm changing the nickname to that used by his biographer and by UNM, over that stated by SI; the "Old" is more accurately part of the name. Also, there was an error in his basketball coaching record that spread to sites like Sports Reference. The error has been corrected in the 2013-14 media guide (p.130, 132-33), so I am substituting those cites. Laszlo Panaflex (talk) 18:32, 25 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sisler[edit]

Johnson's biographer, Robert K. Barney, states that Johnson was a back-up to George Sisler on the Michigan baseball team, in the short article cited here and in the longer bio that piece is based on (A Short Biography of Roy William Johnson (1963)). Unfortunately this does not appear to be correct. Barney tells us Johnson began at Michigan in the autumn of 1915, so he would have played baseball in 1916 and/or 1917. But Sisler finished his career at Michigan in June of 1915 ([1]), and was with the St. Louis Browns by August ([2]). So I've adjusted the sentence to remove the Sisler reference.
