Atari ST[edit]

Hi, Skate or Die was also converted to the Atari St and the Amiga (i think). I Did a small amount of programming work on one of the levels as an apprentice programer (hi to Gus, Brad & John..also apprentices at the time) working for kinetic design who were contracted to codemasters who were contracted to EA. In basement of a house in UpperChurch Road ,Weston-Super-Mare,Sommerset in the uk in 1990 to be exact. Main programer:Mike,GFX:Rich

I removed this text from the article pending clarification:

At one point during the conversion to the Atari ST in the downhill park section you could run over and kill a little boy holding a balloon as he crossed the screen. This was changed to just making him cry to make it suitable for the German market.

Does this mean that all versions except the ST featured the dead boy? 2fort5r (talk) 12:25, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Where is Ski or Die?[edit]

Hi,

EA had a winter-edition like game, called ski or die, too...

You can download for DOS from the underdogs page, or for C64 on most C64 sites... Personally I feel Ski or Die had greater feeling, but at least it should have some mention in this article... at least after you tried it yourself. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 152.66.214.15 (talk) 21:59, 15 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Title[edit]

Isn't "Skate or Die!" a phrase lifted from Atari's 720 degrees? I assume EA purchased the right to use it? 2fort5r (talk) 12:30, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

considering how blatant a ripoff of 720 that SoD was, I would HOPE it was a licensed clone rather than EA trying to pretend it was their own idea... I mean the activities/events are almost all the say, but the interface to GET to those events is even similar! SADLY, the article for 720 says "The game's catchphrase inspired another popular skating video game, Electronic Arts' Skate or Die!, in 1987, which in turned spawned another sequel called Ski or Die" so I guess it was "INSPIRED" by 720, lol 96.52.153.176 (talk) 01:11, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
