DirectX 11?[edit]

Why does it say DirectX 11 in the system requirements, I understand DirectX 11 can run it flawlessly. However, shouldn't the user aim for a minimum DirectX level than the newest DirectX level out now? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.5.80.199 (talk) 05:41, 24 July 2010 (UTC) I will change this to Minimum requirements (XXX) and Recommended Requirements (XXX). Dead Links[edit]

As I was copy editing this article, I noticed that every inline citation I clicked on contained a dead link. If anyone has time, please go through and try to find the archived versions of the cited sources.

Here is a link to the WayBack machine, which can help find the archived versions: http://archive.org/web/

And here is a link to a tool that will check the links in the article so you don't have to do it by hand: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Dispenser/Checklinks

I may come back and do this myself later, but right now I'm going to bed. --Chris Fjordson 09:13, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I came back this morning and updated the links. Some were still active, and may require updating in the future. --Chris Fjordson 17:42, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The main antagonist[edit]

Actually, Doctor Eggman is still the villain. Just his own creation captured him. --24.251.29.163 (talk) 01:32, 26 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lead[edit]

In regard to the last few edits between Joe and myself, I think the lead needs work still. I removed content on the grounds of it being too vague, and then was accused of being "lazy", which is bizarre, because I'm not sure how I was supposed to read Joes mind in what he was referring to. But regardless, now that he's added what he was vaguely alluding to, I'm still against it. Trivial stuff like "the ability to change characters" is not lead-worthy. Sergecross73 msg me 15:34, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Separate issue with the lead - reception part needs to be worded better. You can't say "most reviewers agreed it was better than the Adventure games when you go see those articles and see that those games had aggregate scores around 20 points higher than Heroes. You cherry picked a few reviewers who made comments like that, but this is not true in a general sense. Sergecross73 msg me 15:39, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

All the reviews cited here say that it was better, so it's definitely not "cherry picking". JOEBRO64 20:28, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
But that's still just a few reviews. The aggregates, a way more comprehensive picture, say otherwise. The current general wording is not acceptable. Sergecross73 msg me 01:30, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Believe it or not, the majority of reviews Metacritic has say it's an improvement, too. Remember that the Sonic Adventure games' reception really declined in the years after their releases (the GameCube version of Sonic Adventure 2 has the same score as Sonic Heroes, and the Xbox version of Sonic Adventure has a score in the 40s). JOEBRO64 10:39, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Believe it or not, I know that. And that's all the more reason why the current wording needs changing. There's a lot of context missing in the wording you've added to the article, your very explanation above proves this. It needs rewording - your claim of "most agreed it was an improvement from the Sonic Adventure games" is unfounded and WP:OR. You've proved that some believe this. You have not proven that most did. That's a very difficult claim to make in general, and this is up for GAN, so you'd think you've be more sensitive to wording than you're being. I can try to rework it into something more accurate, but you tend to just revert over and over again, so I'm trying to just cut to the chase and hash it out here. Are you going to work with me here, or do I need to start up some sort of RFC or WikiProject discussion? Sergecross73 msg me 12:40, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I reworded it, so I think this is over. Most reviewers did, but since you're hard to reason with I just decided to reword it. And I hardly "tend to revert over and over again". That's Dissident's department, if anything. JOEBRO64 19:28, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Sergecross73 msg me 14:49, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Just a heads-up, I've started writing the review so try not to edit the article as much as possible from now. Thanks :) ~ P*h3i (📨) 21:54, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

As a WP:GA that has editors pushing it to be an WP:FA, a unverified twitter account is probably not going to be a good enough source for this. Sergecross73 msg me 00:04, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No Plot?[edit]

Hi does anyone have enough time to add a plot? Its a very important part of the game. Thanks --TheWikiSearcher (talk) 22:30, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Prototype source[edit]

Not a whole lot to work with, but still nice, as RS's don't always pick up on this sort of stuff. Sergecross73 msg me 14:45, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Remake rumors[edit]

https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/a-sonic-heroes-remake-is-reportedly-in-development-for-switch-2/ - Reliable sources are reporting on it now, though I'm unsure where to place a mention, and any mention should have proper context that it's just a rumor.
