Removal of 358/2 Days Section[edit]

Sora is not really physically present in 358/2 Days and thus the section should be removed from the page. Also the section seems to circle the stories of Roxas instead of Sora. Thus I think the 358/2 Days section should be deleted. Any objections?KiasuKiasiMan (talk) 15:14, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Though Sora's not phyiscally present, his status is part of the game's storyline.Fractyl (talk) 18:00, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

this one is pretty difficult, he didnt have much of a role to 358/2 days but others did. so I'm going to say that it should be removed or mention that he is a playable character in 358/2 days but not physically there in the plot.Bread Ninja (talk) 19:55, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Original Art[edit]

Is it just me,or does Sora in his original art form have a donkey tail? Were they trying to create a Zidane with a key,a donkey tail (Instead of a monkey tail) and spikey brown hair? 71.201.192.39 (talk) 20:20, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Although WP:NOTAFORUM applies, I have to disagree. I've always thought it looked like a lion's tail. - Tainted Conformity SCREAM 02:57, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Cool! Do you if it's the same issue mentioned in the reception section?Tintor2 (talk) 13:03, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No, can't say that I do. Sorry. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 18:23, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Old vs New Image[edit]

I'm not going to revert immediately, but I do want to argue in favor of the replacing image. In the current image, KH1 Sora is a flipped and badly cropped image, which isn't the case in the new picture. Also, I believe the newer image is a smaller filesize as well, which I'm pretty sure is a good thing. Just my two cents. - Tainted Conformity SCREAM 09:52, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. Besides, the KH2 Sora is actually a concept artwork while old one was taken from the cover of KH2.Tintor2 (talk) 23:11, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Poorly written[edit]

There's about six sentences in here that don't make much sense and I think they have to be rewritten. For example, "This was emphasized in Birth by Sleep's secret ending, game in which he hoped players would like to see him." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.125.17.160 (talk) 02:05, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ventus' "Reincarnation"[edit]

I don't quite know how I would edit it myself, since I don't know whether to remove the passage or replace it with a mention of what is actually being said, butas someone who speaks Japanese and owns the Ultimania that is being referenced, I'd like to note the sentence claiming that Sora was originally supposed to be "Ventus reborn" is wrong. The quoted text (which, by the way, is quoted from the wrong page. The page meant is actually 646.) actually says "Originally I meant for [the voice Ventus hears in the beginning of the game] to be Sora's heart from before Sora's birth, but since foreign opinions claimed that "Heart and soul don't exist before birth", I changed that plot point to what it currently is."194.166.123.143 (talk) 00:45, 9 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 21 October 2021[edit]

At the 4th paragraph of Critical response section after the sentence "According to series director Masahiro Sakurai, Sora had been the winner of the Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U Fighter Ballot in 2015, and Sakurai was well aware of the various fan campaigns advocating for Sora's inclusion in the series. Sakurai also described Sora's inclusion in Super Smash Bros. as a "huge undertaking", and "perfect" as the concluding fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" add this: He also said that adding Sora to the game was much more difficult than adding other fighters.[1] Also can you fill other citations properly, I mean Wikipedia has tools. 220.116.196.43 (talk) 10:41, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit semi-protected}} template. I don't think we need to add that, as it's already described as a huge undertaking in an earlier sentence. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 11:09, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone format all the citations/ref on the article. There are tons of cited sources without the name of the website and they aren't even formatted correctly. Thanks 180.44.113.234 (talk) 21:36, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The Smash sources seem to be the ones lacking formats but I think a bot can properly do it. Don't know how it works.Tintor2 (talk) 22:22, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Please provide the updated references. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 22:48, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Smash image[edit]

I replaced the Smash image with a compilation of all forms to provide more coverage. A website had all of them.Tintor2 (talk) 14:02, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Designs[edit]

I found commentary about each of Nomura's designs the character tends to wear through every installment added it to the article. You think now the Smash compilation of Sora's looks now fits the non-free criteria of being added to the article?Tintor2 (talk) 14:09, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've been away for a while so I don't know how stringent the non-free criteria has become (seemed like it always more strict every year). But given the amount of developer commentary and bit of critical commentary, there's enough of a thread there I think. A few thoughts though:
  • Since the image is from Smash, maybe insert the image in the "Other appearances" section to provide more context.
  • Mentioning that outfits from the various games are alternate costumes in Smash would help strengthen the connection.
  • I think there was commentary about his Smash outfits when his inclusion was first announced. That may provide an extra sentence of context in the "Reception" section.
  • If this is too many non-free media, you may have to weigh how much the other image file contributes and decide which one provides more.
Hope it helps. Glad to see such an iconic character (and personal favorite) have a comprehensive article. (Guyinblack25 talk 19:38, 25 February 2022 (UTC))[reply]
