Location of the Brotherhood Church[edit]

This article seems to be the source for various claims that the site where Lenin, Stalin and Trotsky met is now a Tesco Express. This Tesco Express is on the southern corner of Southgate Road with Balmes Road

However, examining the 25" Ordnance Survey map on maps.nls.uk shows that the church was on the northern corner of this junction on the site now occupied by 24 Southgate Road, which is a wholly residential block.

I have therefore removed the claim "The site is now occupied by a mixed-use residential and business building, with the exact site of the church now a Tesco Express shop."Lang rabbie (talk) 21:16, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hackney and Islington[edit]

There has been an edit from an unregistered IP address removing Hackney from the boroughs that Southgate Road is in. The border between Islington and Hackney goes down Southgate Road, so the east side is in Hackney and the west in Islington. Note purple borough boundry on Streetmap.com

Minor cleanup - removed bars/restuarants/list of non-notable buildings; moved map pin to Southgate road from Essex Rd. Not typical to list these things. Not typical to add infobox to Roads - this is not a district - it straddles two. Kbthompson (talk) 16:25, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
