Storyline[edit]

This is written absolutely horrendously, as if it were by fifth grader. There's too much redundant information also, such as "Spider-Man spots Brock, destroys his camera by sputing out a web to the machine, pulls it in, punches it until it is destroyed and runs off.", or "After their defeat, Spider-Man then goes down through a destroyed glass window he broke.". There are also several paragraphs of information about events that serve no purpose to the plot whatsoever, or irrelevant dialog.

This should be a storyline summary, not an exact recount of every stage word-for-word.Vegetable4 00:44, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, and I've removed almost all of this article, including the Plot section, on the grounds of WP:NOT and WP:TONE. A brief plot summary is welcome. Marasmusine 14:59, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I also agree, I think it probably was writen by a fith grader, but I think the pictures should have been saved. also I've listed this as a stub due to its length I think it needs more info. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.52.74.98 (talk) 22:07, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cast[edit]

I've added a cast section to the article, but I'm not sure if the voice cast is different on the other versions (I only have the playstation version). I've had a look on the internet, and I can't find anything to suggest that there is any different, but if anyone knows of one, please add to it. Thanks. Fair use rationale for Image:Smboxpsx.jpg[edit]

Image:Smboxpsx.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:29, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What If? mode code[edit]

The code given isn't the one used for the playstation version. I own it, and though i can't remember the exact code right now, the one given doesn't look at all familiar. BubbaYoshi (talk) 19:57, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and removed it. I don't think it needs to be included, plus it seemed like it was just randomly placed into the article. Fantasy Dragon (talk) 22:03, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removed Trivia[edit]

If you can find a way to incorporate these into the article, then go ahead.

  • Voice actors Rino Romano (Spider-Man), Jennifer Hale (Black Cat, Mary Jane), and Efrem Zimbalist Jr. (Dr. Octopus) reprise their roles from prior Spider-Man animated series. Rino Romano, the voice of Spider-Man, also did the voice in Spider-Man Unlimited, while Efrem Zimbalist Jr. voiced Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man: The Animated Series, and Jennifer Hale was in both shows, having done the voice of Black Cat in Spider-Man: the Animated Series and Mary Jane on Spider-Man Unlimited.
  • On one of the rooftops, there is a billboard advertising for Tony Hawk Pro Skater. Upon seeing this, Spider-Man remarks "Tony Hawk! Hey, I skated with that guy!". This is a reference to Spider-Man being a playable character in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2.
  • When you are chased by the police it is possible to find Green Goblin's hidden base inside a crane, to which Spider-Man says sarcastically, "Gee, I wonder who those Pumpkin Bombs belong to?".
  • According to the storyboards, the last cut-scene showing the villains in jail was originally planned to have Lizard among them. The final version however simply has one of the Jade Syndicate bank robbers instead.
  • On the level 'Race to the Bugle', there is a billboard with the Stark Solutions the logo and the slogan 'Consulting in the Future'. And in the intro, Ghost Rider also appears, going down from a building.
  • On the level 'Bank Robbery', you can find the Fantastic 4 Building and go onto it.

Game Boy Color version[edit]

Spider-Man for the GBC is vastly different and and has its own story, so it should count as a different game with a similar name. Or at least there should be a brief description of the differences. 152.237.70.195 (talk) 07:48, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
