Standard/HDTV resolution[edit]

Someone should mention how the console handles going from SDTV to HDTV. Is there any upscaling? SharkD  Talk  20:38, 24 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reception[edit]

Currently the reception section only gives an overview on what happened on launch day (specifically in the US) and some advice for potential buyers. There really isn’t anything that is actually an overview on it's actual reception. There's nothing about the reactions to its functionality, design, price, comparison with the characteristics of its predecessor (e.g. difference in number of games provided). All in all, I feel this sections needs a major re-write.Tvx1 00:53, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Road to good topic[edit]

Let this be a working location for those interested in bringing the Super NES Classic to Good Topic status to collaborate and discuss. As of this writing, I have just finished working on Contra III and am debating what to improve next. I am leaning towards Star Fox 2 but if someone really wants to work that I may do something else. I know Joe is working on Kirby Super Star. Pinging users who expressed interest in the project as an FYI: @Abryn: @TheJoebro64: @Namcokid47: @Alexandra IDV: @KGRAMR: @Salvidrim!: TarkusABtalk/contrib 22:20, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I love Panel de Pon/Tetris Attack, so I'd be willing to do that one. Maybe Super Soccer if I feel like it. Namcokid47 (talk) 22:22, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I've started doing Tetris Attack. I've still got plenty of work to do, but it's getting close to completion. Namcokid47 (talk) 01:35, 26 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm still planning on working on Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts and Super Castlevania IV, though if someone wants to work on one of those I'd be willing to cede. As far as Super Soccer and Star Fox 2 @Namcokid47: @TarkusAB:, I have sources here. It's not necessarily the extent of sources, but it's a decent number. - Bryn (talk) (contributions) 22:30, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Unless anyone else wants to, I can tackle the SNES Classic itself once I'm done with Super Star. JOEBRO64 22:47, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I said it before and i'll say it again: I would love to work on Kirby's Dream Course in order to explain everything about the game, especially its origins as Special Tee Shot, but i'm currently busy reworking the list of 3DO Interactive Multiplayer games and i'm also almost done with my work on Atari Jaguar-related articles, as there are 11 left to tackle... • I just wanted to let y'all know that I'm still working on Super Star but might be a bit slower. The Joker movie just premiered and I'm trying to keep its article up-to-date, so Super Star is not my top priority right now. Still going to help out with this project in the meantime though. JOEBRO64 18:14, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • I myself have not been putting as much effort into this as I would like, as I'm in a certain mood that craves character article creation, and I just kind of go where my mood takes me. - Bryn (talk) (contributions) 19:09, 1 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • I have begun work on Star Fox 2. TarkusABtalk/contrib 19:15, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Accuracy[edit]

I think this article would benefit from a section about emulation accuracy. I personally have no information about it, but I'm concerned about the topic. --Philippemorin123 (talk) 22:28, 18 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Images swapped[edit]

I swapped the two main images in this edit.

This had nothing to do with which was the "right" or "standard" version of the console (both the EU and NA versions came out on the same day and I have no strong opinion on that matter). However, the current *photo* of the NA version is inferior due mainly to the overly prominent cloth background.

It's perfectly decent by normal standards (I've seen much worse), and it does the job. However, as the article's flagship image it's a bit distracting and I consider the cleaner-looking photo with the white background preferable in such a prominent position.

Additional; have now replaced File:Nintendo Classic Mini Super Nintendo Entertainment System.jpg with slightly filtered/retouched version File:Nintendo Classic Mini Super Nintendo Entertainment System (enhanced image).jpg.
I've also created an enhanced version of the NA image (File:Super NES Classic Edition (filter crop).jpg) but I'm not 100% sure that it's a clear improvement on the original(?) so haven't replaced use of the original version. Ubcule (talk) 15:26, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
