Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. (We can't grant the power for you to make the changes yourself - edit requests are so that others can edit on your behalf. Without clear instructions, there's nothing we can do. Sequel release date[edit]

In the Mario Day 2024 YouTube video, Shigeru clearly states the sequel is releasing on April 3, 2026.

Sequel or follow up?[edit]

Although it's almost obvious that the newly announced film it's a sequel and multiple actors have called it so neither the filmmakers nor Nintendo nor trade pages have refered to it as so, just as " a new Mario movie".
