Timeframe of Ultimate Spider-Man video game in relation to Ultimate Spider-Man comic[edit]

In a Newsarama interview with Brian Reed, the lead game designer for the Ultimate Spider-Man videogame ([1]), he claims the storyline in the game takes place at an undetermined time after the Silver Sable arc in the comic. That would probably help to clear up confusions as to the game's continuity.

But still how does Silver Sable not know who Spider-Man is when in the game Eddie tells her everything about Peter? Ultimatemarvel 07:04, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In answer to the question above, if the events of the game occur after the Silver Sable arc, she wouldn't know that Peter was Spider-man in the story arc. But, my question is once again about the time frame of the game. It has recently been seen that in the Ultimate X-men, Bolivar Trask is alive and well. Would that mean that the events of the game take place later in the series? If so, that really pushes the games continuity. Maybe I'm wrong.Derek Chase (talk) 23:09, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's more the case that they don't happen in the continuity at all. The War of the Symbiotes arc was meant to adapt it, and as such it coours in the same time frame as the game, but while some things stay the same as the game the later events are so vastly different that either the comic is out of continuity or the game is. ggctuk (2005) (talk) 20:25, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hulk in the game?[edit]

I've played through the game and the Hulk isn't in there. Maybe he was confused for the Ultimate version of the Green Goblin? Zooba 14:30, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, there's no Hulk. rst20xx 13:49, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Revert[edit]

Well I recently removed the following:

Changes From The Original Spiderman 2 Game

The developers have used the new 3D Cell-Shading system to create an alive comic book feel to the game. With more colours and bright 3D Models, it will feel like the player is playing a comic book.

In Spiderman 2, the time changes while in-game, but in Ultimate Spiderman, the time changes from levels to levels. There four main time zones: 1. Daytime 2. Afternoon 3. Sunset 4. Cloudy Night

The Game's Specifications

The developer does not have any celebrity Voice-Actors/Voice-Actresses to fill in the Character's voices. But luckily, they managed to have incredible quality Voice-Actors to fill. As it was in Spiderman 2, the game still have the New York City with some parts of the Manhattan Island. The developers also have almost all of the landmarks located in the life-city of New York.

Let me explain why. "Changes From The Original Spiderman 2 Game" - which original Spider-Man 2 game? The movie one, or Enter Electro? If Enter Electro, I don't think there is any reason to compare the two. If the movie one, then: a) section incorrectly titled b) list far from incomplete c) does not merit own section, maybe just a mention (which I've now included) "The Game's Specifications" - the voice actor thingy is opinion. Also they don't have any of the actual Manhattan landmarks except the Statue of Liberty, so that's wrong.

I know there's a don't bite the newbies policy, and I'm not trying to bite you, but I think edits need to have a little more thought and make a little more sense. I've added back in some of the good things tho in some form, such as the use of cel-shading rst20xx 14:30, 2 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Chase Complaints[edit]

I deleted the note in Trivia criticizing the chase sequences in the game. Perhaps there was some criticism about it, but the part that I found most silly was explaining how difficult the Venom/Electro chase sequence is. It's true Electro flies around very quickly, which alowys him to quickly rise above skyscrapers, but Venom has the locomotion jump, and tentacle zipping, so speed and climbing aren't really big problems. Electro stops every so often for Venom to catch up, for goodness' sake. It's true that when Electro does that, and Venom gets too close, Electro will fire up a huge electric blast that will knock Venom away, but an intelligent player will notice that and learn to stand far enough away so as not to get hit. It's not very difficult at all.

Corrections[edit]

In the game, Carnage is not self-regenerative. He eats the guards in the same manner Venom does, but he hides away while he does so. 142.26.133.248 (talk) 18:07, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Trask First Appearance[edit]

I believe he actualy had a brief appearance in the first -or so- issue of Ultimate X-Men in a T.V broadcast describing his role in building the Sentinals.

Considering the game is cross-platform, I changed the boxart image[edit]

What the title says. But for some reason it's still the old Xbox boxart when you click it twice.
