I have deleted this interesting suggestion by an anon editor:
It is noted, however, that correctly connected and with the re-opening of the East-West rail link, Verney Junction represents a viable location for an eco-town, of which one is already proposed for Western Otmoor on the Oxford-Bicester Town branch. Literature for that project specifically give supporting a reopened east-west rail corridor as a reason for establishing the town. With the extending of the former-Meteropolitan line to Aylesbury Vale now imminent, a line from an ecotown at Verney Junction would enable direct commuting to London.
becuase there is no eco-town proposal for Verney Junction. If one should materialise, we can report on it but we cannot speculate. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 22:51, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
