Craig Taborn[edit]

Taborn at the Moers Festival, 2012

Improved to Good Article status by EddieHugh (talk). Self-nominated at 15:55, 2 July 2015 (UTC).

  • Recently GA promoted, well-written, long enough, meet all policies, but nominator here is proposing two facts in a single hook. First fact is "winner of a Doris Duke Artist Award worth up to $275,000" and the second fact is "does not have, or want, his own website." Hook needs to be split or find another better interesting fact from the article. We also required a reviewed article (QPQ) here. --Captain Assassin! «TCG» 12:00, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
The point is the apposition: the reader would expect the winner of such a prize to have a website. Wikipedia:Did you know states that more than one fact can be included in one hook. It also states "If, at the time a nomination is promoted to the main page, its nominator has fewer than five DYK credits (whether or not self-nominated) then the nomination is exempt from QPQ"; this applies to me. Alright then, it's good to go. --Captain Assassin! «TCG» 02:11, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
