You see, what I do is: Leave messages in very noticeable areas so the people believe these messages as facts. My point - don't get in my way again.   • Lioness, refrain from using abusive language with any editor on Wikipedia. I had very clearly told you to discuss the matter on the article talkpage before you attempt to edit the article. What you did in your edit here (and the previous two edits) is give a definition of terrorist. What you instead need to do is discuss the matter on the article talkpage; reach to a consensus and then take further action accordingly.   • A7 is quite possibly one of the most abused criteria of the entire policy, and it is not surprising to see an admin making what I consider to be an error. A7 does not ask whether or not a subject is notable, but rather whether or not any claim of notability was made. The claim that she is the youngest in the industry and the various third-party references make a pretty clear claim. Whether or not this actually indicates notability sufficient to pass WP:N is certainly still in debate, but that is a topic that must be resolved at WP:AFD, not WP:CSD. --Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 17:31, 22 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi AKS.9955, I would strongly recommend you do not engage further with Lioness regarding Dalal Mughrabi - even though I personally believe you're correct in your statements, this is not a defense against 3RR. If you continue reverting, you could be seen to be breaking the rule, and I'd hate for you to be sanctioned for trying to help Wikipedia. Please consider this a friendly reminder!   • Hello samtar, thanks for the friendly advice; I appreciate it. An editor trying to fight vandalism and (himself) gets reported for violating WP:3RR is a classic paradox and irony. I am removing the page from my watchlist and will leave it on to its fate since admin User:NeilN also seems to be upset at me (here) when I have been trying to keep Wikipedia free of Vandalism. Not very encouraging for people like me who fight vandalism - is it? Seems like a waste of my time; especially when the vandal has been merely "advised" and I am the one who has been reprimanded.   • (edit conflict) I wouldn't be put off - Wikipedia has some quite strict guidelines regarding some things, and it's easy to be caught out. My personal recommendation to you is to always assume Good Faith, and discuss issues with editors immediately (unless it is blatant vandalism). When reporting someone, notify them first that their actions could result in a sanction, and give them a link to the relevant policy - some people just plain don't know that they're not allowed to continuously revert for example. After they've had a chance to reply (or if they continue), then report them. Certain sanctions require you to do this - it's best to thoroughly read any guidance relating to the reporting process before considering doing so. Sometimes it's difficult asking for help, but believe me it is always worth it - there are a lot of editors here on Wikipedia with miles more experience than myself, but if you ever want to run something past me, or just ask general advice about a process here, just drop me a line! :) Happy editing! samtar (msg) 15:52, 21 September 2015 (UTC)

  • Don't get me wrong AKS.9955, the user in question was rude and was definitely pushing a point of view as NeilN stated. I know from experience it can be very difficult staying calm when things get a bit heated, so my advice to you there would be to give WP:CALM a read and take a deep breath. 99% of people here on Wikipedia are nice and friendly[citation needed], it's just when you get stuck into anti-vandalism you find that 1% I'm afraid - keep up the good work! samtar (msg) 16:07, 21 September 2015 (UTC)
  • I'm going to disagree a bit with samtar's initial statement and encourage you to keep watching the article. If you had reported the editor for reverting after they had been warned then a block would have likely resulted. It may seem bureaucratic but we don't want to block editors for not knowing the rules. Also, when you report, make sure you have "clean hands". That is, don't be acting the same way as the person your reporting does. Many times I've handled reports at various boards where if I blocked one editor, I would have to block the other one too for breaking the same rule. --NeilN talk to me 16:27, 21 September 2015 (UTC)

You are free to report or do whatever you wish to do but nothing will help unless you follow the guidelines. Do not engage in disruptive editing / edit warring (WP:3RR). You reverted this edit and warned the user using {{uw-vandalism}}. However, that edit was not vandalism; it may have been a good faith attempt to ask a question. In this situation, it would have been better to educate the editor about the article's talk page. Hello Oshwah, I agree with you and that's why more than half of my edits from Stiki are AGF. However in this particular case, I personally felt that the edit was more on the side of vandalism than AGF and hence the action. Thanks for your time.
