Please be careful making spelling and grammar corrections[edit]

Hi there,

I monitor the American Autocross article. I saw that you changed "motorsport" to "motor sport" -- the former is correct, and someone reverted your edit shortly after you made it.

I reviewed the edits you made to other articles, and saw that roughly half of them introduced spelling or grammar mistakes, many of which were subsequently reverted.

I appreciate your good-faith efforts to correct mistakes in Wikipedia, but please be extra careful when making spelling or grammar changes, as your success rate has only been so-so.

Thanks! Stephen Hui (talk) 06:58, 17 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Image additions[edit]

Please make sure images you add:

  • Does not already exist in the article; you have added duplicate images to many articles.
  • Have captions that explain what the image consists of.
  • Are placed somewhere in the article where it is relevant to the subject and enhances the reader's understanding. Images should not just be randomly placed at the very top of an article.

Stop adding duplicate images and nonsensical captions!!![edit]

One would think you might have picked up something from the feedback you received on on your first round of image additions, almost all of which have been reverted. But apparently you haven't - the first four I looked at were three duplicates of images already in the article, and one lazy nonsensical caption. I'm going through your current spate and reverting these pointless, make-work additions. Stop this! It is not helpful, and Wikipedia is not a platform for generating competition points for you. Continued addition of unsuitable images will get you blocked. --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 23:50, 8 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for ignoring the above warning messages and continuing to add irrelevant and duplicate images to articles.

I sincerely apologize for my wrongs in duplicating pictures twice and adding lazy captions to articles. I will do well by being cautious of my contributions and editing of articles. Please, kindly unblock me. Ababio70 (talk) 01:29, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

The block is no longer necessary because I now understand what I'm blocked for, i will not do it again, and I will make productive contributions insteadAbabio70 (talk) 20:44, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 21:53, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I sincerely apologize for making distruptive edits to the English Wikipedia, and I now understand my mistakes and promise never to do that again. I have been briefed by a leader in my community, I was relatively inexperiencedAbabio70 (talk) 14:44, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This request is not specific enough. Please say exactly why you think you were blocked, and exactly how you will change your behavior going forward. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 20:48, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have realised that my account was blocked because I've made disruptive edits by adding wrong images, images of low quality and adding pictures to wrong places within the article. Going forward, I will ensure I follow the guidelines by adding appropriate high quality images to articles and the caption to the right places within the articlesAbabio70 (talk) 15:51, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You've identified what you've done wrong, but you seem to be asking us to just trust you that you won't do it again going forward; that is insufficient. It might help if you identified things you wanted to do other than adding images. I'll give you one more chance to write an acceptable unblock request, I am declining this one. 331dot (talk) 08:58, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ababio70, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
